vivo Android 5G

The vivo NEX 3 is expected to arrive this month, and while we are waiting for an official launch date, the device already popped up on TENAA with images and specs. The phone is pretty much what we expected and this listing is confirming most of the rumors - Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, 64 MP camera, and up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

The Snapdragon 855 Plus is the only chipset on the market right now with a CPU core that goes as fast as 2.96 GHz, so it’s quite easy to confirm the SoC. RAM could be also 8 GB, while other memory storages are 128 GB and 256 GB. However, there is no microSD, so the internal storage is all you’ll have.

The main camera will be accompanied by two 13 MP snappers, likely a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle camera, but we are always up for a surprise. There is only one selfie sensor listed - 16 MP. However, we know from a promo video there is an elevating mechanism that can house more than just a shooter, so we could see some sort of 3D face recognition technology or ToF sensor.

The phone will have an impressively big 6.89” AMOLED panel with extremely curved edges, as you can see in the photos. The device is 167.4 x 76.1 x 9.4 mm in size and weighs 218 grams. There is only one color listed - Gold, although we expect a gradient finish since the paint job on TENAA looks weird and is like that probably due to lighting.

Is it me or are all Chinese OEMs aiming to copy Huawei? I know its hard to say who is copying who but we didn't see so many devices with this color palate and a round camera island until we ot so close to the release of the Huawei Mate 30. There is a...

The name of qualcomm's new chipset "plus" sounds dumb. Why not just name it 856?

Becuase people have money, and they want to experience something different which known brands don't offer. Like Samsung and iPhone don't offer High Refresh Rate, or they don't offer full display screen, they have notches or punch holes, or they don't...
