Today at gizchina.com I read Vivo is launching a new device globally on 24th March 2016. It will be called Vivo V3 (successor of V1) and use three types of material: metal, wood & crystal glass in its construction. They are touting V3 to have awesome speed, but I least trust their marketing campaigns, they will fit a cheap two year old Snapdragon 410 or 615 chipset and tout them as super fast!!! Let's wait and see if they can shed the usual crap policy of exuberantly expensive smartphones with diddly hardware. Finger crossed.

As a matter of fact, my sister owns HTC One E9s and my cousin owns Vivo V1 Max and they both are happy, no problems so far. In my opinion, Vivo V1 Max offers better deal for the money. Listening songs in V1Max is more enjoyable as compared to One E9s. Both phones takes nice pictures. Although, E9s offers 2TB memory expandable option but the phone gets annoyingly slow (we have tested it). I like the design of V1 Max, its more classy. Also it features Gorilla glass screen which One E9s is missing.

nri78, 21 Feb 2016I heard it's got the best DAC. How's the audio quality.It is true V1 Max have a good DAC + headphone amp in a single chip made by AKM. But it is not remotely the best DAC on a smartphone. In Vivo lineup the one with the best sound quality over headphones goes to X5Max, which has the ubiquitous ESS DAC + ESS op-amp + TI headphone amplifier setup. I own a X5Max and have auditioned it with X5Pro, V1Max & XShot and always X5Max came on top with a neutral & more detailed sound quality. Separation of vocals & instruments are terrific and you will be hard pressed to find such a level of detailed resolution in a smartphone irrespective of price.
But if you are truly looking a good smartphone with equivalent sound quality that of X5Max with future android version upgrades then look no further than Lenovo Vibe X3 retailing in amazon.in at INR 20K. X3 is the flagship from Leneovo, a premium product with much better performance than any Vivo phones released globally till date and are not unjustifiable expensive as Vivo.

Can any one tell me how much heat do you get when playing high end games like NFS. I have tested with cooling master app it shows me around 37.8 which is high I guess. I brought this phone recently and I am testing it. Is my phone a defective one ?? Sales men said it won't produce heat.
