The vivo V20 Pro is coming to India on December 2 - this Wednesday. Two days ahead of the launch, the phone was listed at multiple retailers in the country, revealing its price in the process. The mid-ranger is going to cost INR29,990 or about $405 for the 8/128 GB memory option.

The vivo V20 Pro is the mightiest of the V20 trio, introduced earlier this year. It is pretty much the same as the regular vivo V20 but comes with a dual selfie camera (44MP + 8MP) behind a notch. Another difference is the Snapdragon 765G chipset that has an integrated 5G modem, although the use of this feature is still very limited in India.

Other specs of the phone include a 6.44” AMOLED screen and a 64MP main shooter, as well as a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

India is going to be the first overseas market for the Chinese phone and we’ll follow with interest how the sales will unravel given the tensions between the two countries. The Bureau of Indian Standards has blocked imports of Chinese goods but vivo has a factory in India which might make the job for its sales department a tad easier.

Thailand has had this phone over a month so definitely not the first overseas market. The phone is something to behold in-hand. Made super-premium, very lightweight and thin, and the cameras are very, very good front and back. The stabilization in th...
