vivo's X27 is finally getting official in a few hours, after spending weeks in the rumorsphere. We've already seen leaked renders, specs, certifications, and even teasers from the company itself, so at this point it's pretty clear what we should expect. That said, how about a new round of leaked (and thus "confirmed", as much as that word can be used for non-official information) specs? Well, let's have at it.
The vivo X27 is said to land with a 48 MP main rear camera (but there will be two more alongside it), a pop-up selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,000 mAh battery. But wait, there's more - additional leaked press renders, that is. Enjoy!
vivo seems to have trimmed down the chin even more compared to its previous phones. At this point it's barely bigger than the other bezels, so we're one step closer to achieving total bezel symmetry in the mobile world - not in small part thanks to the pop-up selfie camera mechanism that this smartphone maker debuted in the NEX line last year.
Since it's 2019, the triple rear cameras come as no surprise, and the same can be said for the in-display fingerprint sensor - especially as this is another feature first seen in a vivo phone.
Pictured here are the blue and White Gold color versions, although the latter looks a bit more like a pale pink than gold to our eyes - maybe "rose gold" isn't a fashionable hue name anymore, who knows. According to one past leak, there should also be an Emerald Green iteration of the X27.
I mean...that's the only aspect of the design that's taken from somewhere else, no? (btw Meizu did it first on the Meizu Pro 7 ;-) )
Didn't Huawei "pioneer" the whole horizontal logo in the back thing, though? Hardly a unique design.
