vivo Android Rumors

vivo is gearing up to release its X30 series next month and we already know quite a bit about the lineup from the recent teasers and rumors. Both versions will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset with integrated dual-mode 5G modem and feature quad-camera setups. According to a recent teaser, one of the camera modules will be a 13MP periscope unit.

This is the topic of the latest vivo ad which details the periscope unit and its 60x zoom capabilities. Naturally most of that is achieved through “hybrid zoom” with the optics likely being in line with previous offerings and reaching about 5x zoom. Still, even with the digital enhancements, the results were quite impressive so it would be interesting to see vivo's take.

The X30 series will come in two sizes with a smaller 6.5-inch version which will boast up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with a 4,500 mAh battery. The camera setup will compose of 64MP + 13MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors.

The larger X30 Pro will come with a 6.89-inch display, up to 12 GB RAM and a 60MP + 12MP + 13MP +13MP camera array. Both versions are expected to get 90Hz AMOLED displays.

I suspect more common parts are used among BBK companies. Reno 10x Zoom's periscope cam and 8MP UWA cam, OnePlus' notchy 90Hz screen, and whatnot.

Well, that's something Apple's church has done since memorial times. And today they still have many parishioners. So, it works.
