This could be the design of x500 series to have a 73000+ mah this year
Hi, so it's 2025 and I just bought the Vivo X90 Pro as a used device (used in Europe then shipped to Africa). There's not a single brand new Vivo flagship in Nigeria where I am because Vivo don't sell their flagship devices here which means no warranty. I've admired Vivo flagship since the VIVO NEX from 2018 and always wanted to own one an£ finally did.
NOBODY that has seen me using this phone in my location even knew VIVO made flagship devices. They all though Vivo is a complete joke that makes mediocre entry level and budget phones. But I think it's just ignorance because it's all over YouTube now.
This phone took me by surprise. I'll start by praising the battery life because even though it's a used device from 2022, I'm still getting about 8 hrs on mobile data and about 12 hrs on WiFi only. There's no iPhone or here that can top that (most iPhones here are used even for those who believe they're buying new iPhones), and my friend who bought a Samsung S23 ultra as brand new (I doubt it's new though) a week after doesn't get up to 8hrs on WiFi.
I updated to Origin OS 6 and Android 16 about 5 days after getting it and I've not gotten any issues at all. It runs smoothly.
The Cameras on this phone are so good that I wonder just how good the newer models are. I spent a full day as a photo/videographer with this phone and I was surprised at how it was able to stay cool and maintain good quality for a long time with good battery life to keep it going.
Complaints: The fingerprint sensor isn't the best but I registered the same finger multiple times and it works better now. Claims it has Bluetooth LE but it doesn't work. Display is not LTPO and the ultrawide camera isn't that good. No regional support for the flagship so repairing it will be a Very big problem if anything should happen to it.
Coming from Google pixel 5, this is the best phone I've ever had and I hope I can afford the newer flagship models from Vivo. Also hope Vivo will officially bring their flagship devices here.
Get Android 15 and funtouch 15?
I was checking on the Bluetooth connectivity of this phone and came across of what it says it is capable of LE Connectivity. Recently, I tried to pair it with the Sony Inzone Gaming Earbuds
as it only uses Bluetooth LE connectivity and noticed it doesn't pair. Perhaps this phone has no LE connectivity feature .

Does this phone still receive regular security updates? Seems like a good deal in 2024, around the same price as Iqoo 12 and Nubia Z60 Ultra.

I don't know the 9000s. But after the sanctions they are not so bad.
Vinaigre, 20 Nov 2023Because I wanted to see the reactions from a Snapdragon fanboy. It worked well.
To be hones... moreFunny how u assume Im a snapdragon fanboy. When you are all over the huawei comments overpraising all their devices and their horrible 9000s lol
Love the irony
Hello,I have been using it since last 3 months .I love the cameras , especially the potrait. The screen is good and so are the speakers.love it.Very fast charging of 120watts.It takes 10 mins in a day to charge it as battery hardly falls below 30 percent.
No optical zoom 2x, only hybrid.
Anonymous, 19 Nov 2023Sure, but you never explained why mediatek is somehow better than "overheater" snapd... moreI do not think it's better, it's maybe less worse in terms of temperature management.
Anonymous, 27 May 2023The price tag? Nah. I'd be perfectly happy with mid range phone LOLOk so go buy Xiaomi

To be honest I do not care, for me they are both the same. If I should tell which chipset I prefer, I would say Hisilicon Kirin. Hahaha.
Vinaigre, 19 Nov 2023All right. However you misjudged me because I am not a mediatek fan. Sure, but you never explained why mediatek is somehow better than "overheater" snapdragon lol
All you said was, "oh they overheat cuz I received a mediocre device that had some bugs and I blame it on the chipset for it"

Vinaigre, 13 Nov 2023Maybe. But the overheating happened on several phones so the Sony Xperia was not the only case. Ok, and? You still trying to emphasize the overheating aspect when snapdragon is still the overall better chipset to mediatek. When is mediatek gonna step up their performance to be the best? When does mali and immortalis actually become decent?
Until then, all mediatek is good for is the budget and cheaper market which is adequate enough for the majority.
Anonymous, 12 Nov 2023Sure, lemme buy a vivo phone and if it has any bugs ill blame it all on the bad meditek cpu fo... moreMaybe. But the overheating happened on several phones so the Sony Xperia was not the only case.
Anonymous, 12 Nov 2023Whyd you get a sony xperia? You get a bad experience from a mediocre phone brand then blame it... moreWhy? Because my boss decided to buy me this.
