1. Low resolution (720)
2. Much heavier than normal phone
3. Shelfie camera to much white effect
The good things are
1. Big battery capacity (5000)
2. Smoother than normal phone (4gb RAM)
3. Good for gamers
4. Less overhead than normal phone
5. Dark mood for eyes protection in night time
6. Battery not fast drain

I really dissapointed with VIVO Y17 because camera selfie is not good and not give real picture. I think this camera fake not based on spec u telling me on your product. This is the firts and the last i buy this phone!!! Bad experience for me!

Don't buy it...it's camera quality very bad like it's price....and gaming is to many bad performances.....I just played 2-3 game on it like Freefire and it's lagging and it's voice cutting so much time....... it's very very bad.......I think I waste my money

Before I always use Samsung Notes series, and still using note 8 right now. Bought this vivo just for secondary phone, but now I'm totally in love with this one. With cheap price and great performance, I really recomanded this..

Hello there. Am looking to buy a new vivo phone and am thinking to decide on vivo Y17. but i just want to be sure if all will be good when i buy it. with all the specifications i can say all is good for me. while reading other users opinion it makes me feel discomfort to decide it. i want some one to tell me if my decision will not make me feel sorry or i better not buy it? i am living in Eritrea too. and i also am using vivo Y55A for three years which it still is in good condition. that is why i want to buy updated vivo again. so please i need someone to tell me to decide.

Loumd, 05 Jul 2019Y17 is not working with tmobile sim in los angeles, ca. No signal. Not supported by tmobile simcard the vivo phone. Kindly go to the website of tmobile and check the compatibility phone for tmobile. I hope it helps.

This phone offers a really low resolution and ppi display, usually found in phones that cost half of its price like Realme 3. Which people hesitate to buy even in that price range.
Its chipset, Helio P35 is about as strong as Snapdragon 630 which is really weak for this price range in 2019. Realme 3 has Helio P60 which so much more powerful, but I wouldn't want to buy even that chipset in this price.
Camera specs are really and I mean really bad for this price. Despite other shortcomings, this phone could earn the price tag if it offered extra ordinary camera but even its camera specs are similar to phones that cost half as much than it.
For example, Realme 3 camera has f/1.8 while this phone has f/2.2. This means Realme 3 camera is capable of capturing much-much better details than Vivo Y17 - and it really does.
Realme 3 has 1.12um on both its main + selfie camera further makes its camera performance very good in low light/night time.
The battery is only thing acceptable of Vivo Y17 but even Realme 3 has 4.2 mAh battery with just as much as power efficient chipset. This is the only category it's better than Realme 3 when it falls in the price range of Realme 3 Pro, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8, Nokia 8.1, Samsung Galaxy A50.

I think some here are basing their experience on high end phones, well of course u cant do thak because this is on the entry level kindof phone...but I think this phone is ok...given the not so good specs...i tried playing overnight and the phone did not heat up and did not lag...the phone can stay up to 3 days without charging even when data is on...storage doesn't make me worry at all...and i dont know about other reviews but my y17 did not lag at all...and it charges fast for a 5k battery...cam is good under good light condition...and the ultrawide lens is good...you can't of course expect to much with this like the big phones but given its price, battery, storage, ram...this phone is ok...
