vivo Android Announcement

Today the vivo Y19 5G was launched in India - not to be confused with the Y19 from 2019, by the way. The new device comes with a 6.74-inch 720x1600 LCD screen with 90 Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture next to a 0.08 MP decorative sensor, a 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging.

It measures 167.3 x 76.95 x 8.19mm and weighs 199g. It has IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs Android 15 with vivo's Funtouch OS 15 on top. vivo promises that the battery will still retain over 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charge/discharge cycles.

It comes in Titanium Silver and Majestic Green. Pricing starts at INR 10,499 for the 4/64GB version. It goes up to INR 11,499 for the 4/128GB model, and INR 12,999 if you want to get the top of the line iteration with 6/128GB. It's eMMC 5.1 storage, by the way, and it's expandable via a triple slot taking two nano SIMs and one microSD card. The phone supports AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance, and AI Documents.

The Y19 5G is available at Flipkart, vivo's online store, and select partner retail stores. You can get the 6/128GB version with zero down payment with 3 months no cost EMI.
