Nothing teased its (1) smartphone this week, showing off its design. It sports a transparent back panel that reveals the wireless charging coil and some clever LEDs that light up at intervals.
The phone has dual rear cameras, and we know it will be based on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, support 45W charging, run Nothing OS, based on Android 12, and launch on July 12.
Xiaomi's 12 Ultra got a little clearer this week. It will be among the first smartphones with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. On the front, it will have a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED (its predecessor had a 6.81-inch, non-LTPO). The camera hardware could be unchanged from the Mi 11 Ultra, which is still very capable today - a 50MP main camera with the largest sensor in a phone (possibly a new iteration of it), and a pair of 48MP half-inch sensors for the ultrawide and 5x periscope zoom cameras. Leica's logo will adorn the 12 Ultra.
The battery will be a slightly smaller 4,800mAh pack with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. All that's left now is for an official announcement date.
Per Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro will finally adopt an autofocusing selfie camera. It will also have a higher-quality 6P lens and a bright f/1.9 aperture.
