Ever since September, every end-of-the-week recap we've done has featured at least some Galaxy S23 stories. It gets to the point that you'd think we've seen all the Galaxy S23 series leaks possible, yet week after week we get new elements of the puzzle.
The biggest of the many S23 stories this week was the confirmation that Samsung officially confirmed it will hold the series announcement on February 1. The Unpacked event will begin at 6 PM UTC and will be streamed live. And Samsung opened the booking for the S23 series at the same time.
Earlier in the week, we got official promo videos of the Galaxy S23 series but those have been taken down since. A few days later, we got official press renders, showing finished versions of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Capping off the S23-related content, we got to see dummies of the three phones for size comparison.
Meanwhile we published our Samsung OneUI 5.0 review and you guys really liked that.
Beyond camp Samsung we saw the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ go on sale in India. The Redmi Note 12 has a base price of INR17,999 ($220/€205), whereas the Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ start at INR24,999 ($305/€285) and INR29,999 ($370/€340), respectively.
Windows ended support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 so if you're running either, you should consider updating.
Those were the key stories of week number 2 but you can find the full list below. See you in a week!
