Weekly poll results: Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer is top dog, but the SE is surprisingly popular

Weekly poll Xiaomi

Surprise, surprise – the most powerful Mi 8 version is the one most people want. Okay, maybe not a “surprise”, but it’s interesting to see such a positive reaction to Xiaomi’s flagship device. The Mi 8 Explorer has several features that resonated with fans, including the under display fingerprint reader and the advanced facial recognition. The cost did not scare people away, after all it’s perfectly reasonable when compared to flagship Androids and the iPhone X.

That said, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE proved slightly more popular than the base model. The base model is 50% more expensive than the SE, but it’s certainly not 50% more capable. Fans definitely saw the appeal of a premium design and features at a mid-range price.

And then there’s the base Xiaomi Mi 8. It got a reasonably warm reception and we think will outsell the Explorer if for no other reason than availability (those UD fingerprint readers and transparent backs can’t be easy to make). But it definitely needs to watch its back, the SE might prove to be the most popular Xiaomi Mi 8 model of the three.

No matter who copy who. All copy Motorola because it was Motorola who bring the first cell phone. And it was Alexander Graham Bell who invented phone or the landline. Like when T.A. Edison invented Lightbulb and from then companies like Osr...
