Google has officially announced the availability of Android Auto Wireless, a feature which allows your phone to connect to your Android Auto head unit using WiFi.

Indeed. In some countries (like mine) Android Auto isn't even available yet, wired or not. My new car has it, but the app is not available from the store. So watch out when you rely on something from Google. They're getting worse by the day.
