Tango-running Nokia Champagne leaks on its way to AT&T

Nokia Windows Phone Touch UI Rumors

Information about an upcoming Nokia WP smartphone for AT&T just leaked. Code-named Nokia Champagne, the yet unannounced smartphone is said to run Windows Phone Tango - the revision of the Microsoft platform that should play nice will lower-end hardware and allow new screen resolutions among other things.

The screenshot that you see on the left mentions the AT&T Nokia Champagne, which runs version 7.10.8711 of Windows Phone. And according to the i’mWP7 app screenshot you see pictured right below it - that's a Tango release.

Some rumors suggest that the AT&T-bound Nokia Champagne is nothing, but the LTE-enabled version of the Lumia 800 that we first heard of this morning. However, the Lumia 800 is by no means a mid-range device and we can't see how adding an LTE radio will make it one.

Still, it's good to know that the Nokia WP-running devices are already in testing, so they shouldn't be too far away from market availability. They will miss on the holiday shopping action, though, so Nokia better make sure that it gives the users something extra to make up for the delay.

We'll certainly be on the lookout for more information about this one, so stay tuned.

Nokia WP7 = iphone + NFC - Apps. In that case, I'd rather go with my good old symbian.

The screenshot looks like the result of a SQL query. Anyone with MS SQL can come up with a query result like that and take a screenshot.
