Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has achieved a new milestone. The company has sold over 100 million smartphones in India since its debut in the country five years ago.
Citing IDC reports, Xiaomi says this milestone was achieved in the period starting in Q3 2014 until July 2019, with the Redmi A and Redmi Note series contributing significantly to this achievement.

In another news, Xiaomi in a statement to Android Authority has confirmed that it will soon let users disable ads manually in system apps like Calendar, Installer, and Download Manager.
The company is currently testing an ad switch and will roll it out to users in China with MIUI 9.8.29 update. However, there's no word on when the rollout will commence, and when the ad switch will arrive on global builds.
it's the global version. Even my fckin Samsung S4 Mini, Sony Xperia XA and LG Q6 had ads and bloatware. Those where overpriced in comparison to Xiaomi devices, and where full of undeletable rubbish.
