Xiaomi Android Rumors

Earlier this year, a rumor suggested that the Huawei-Leica partnership has come to an end and the photography brand is looking for other long-term partners. The initial rumors pointed at Honor and Xiaomi and it seems at least half of it was correct.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra to come with Leica-branded lenses

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo Leica has already struck a deal with Xiaomi so the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have the Leica branding on its camera lenses. The smartphone is expected to arrive sometime in Q1 2022, a bit later than the standard Xiaomi 12 series.

It's unclear at this point what contributions Leica will make to the camera setup, but at the very least we can expect some color filter and input regarding the overall processing. We'll update you once we hear more about it.

These phones are at least 30 percents more than the mid range phone. For the price difference, I can buy a good camera which I do not need to forsake when my phone dies on me. Nowadays phone does not comes with a SD card slot for security reaso...
