A few weeks ago we saw an alleged live photo of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. While the phone is expected to pack the same 1” IMX989 sensor as the 12S Ultra, the design seen in the photo was quite restrained – nothing like the “look at me!” design of the Ultra. Now OnLeaks and Zoutons have partnered to create renders of the upcoming flagship, showing the phone off from all sides.
The camera island doesn’t look any more exciting from other angles, but it’s what is inside the counts – a huge 50MP sensor, specifically. Plus an ultra wide and a telephoto cameras (both 50MP, allegedly, sensor size and focal length unknown).
The Xiaomi 13 Pro will measure 163.0 x 74.6 8.8mm (11.8mm if you include the camera island). These are roughly the same dimensions as the 12 Pro, except that the new model is slightly thicker (and slightly slimmer than the 12S Ultra).
Xiaomi 13 Pro (speculative renders)
Based on the data used to create the renders, the new Pro model will have a smaller display than its predecessor – 6.65” (down from 6.73”). The display will have curved sides as before, there will be a centered punch hole for the selfie camera and an under display fingerprint reader.
Current rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will launch on December 30 (around the same time as its predecessor). This will make it among the first to use the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The price for India is said to be ₹66,800, which converts to $815/€815 (though keep in mind that India has taxes for imported smartphones). The 12 Pro launched slightly lower, ₹63,000 (for an 8/256GB model).
PS. OnLeaks has also recreated the vanilla Xiaomi 13, which you can see here.
That's a fair point. I like the aesthetic of the curve, but at the same time the distortion is definitely an unwelcome experience. I think Vivo does displays where the glass is 3D curved but not the LCD, so images still look flat. That...
Flat screens look so correct. Curved screens looks so wrong. They distort the image. Why would you want a distorted image? Curved bezels is fine, by all means, as long as the display showing content is perfectly flat and does not distort th...
