Xiaomi Android Rumors

Built-in active cooling fans are all the rage in China currently, with a lot of manufacturers coming out with devices featuring one. And now it seems like Xiaomi is working on its very own device with a fan, according to Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

This device will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 SoC, and will have a screen with a "1.5K" resolution and "ultra-high" (though not further detailed) refresh rate. The fan will be part of the camera island, and the entire phone will be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance despite the presence of the fan.

This handset is most likely the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra, based on the chipset it's using (the previous K-series Ultras all went with MediaTek's latest and greatest). If we are indeed talking about the Redmi K90 Ultra, a previous rumor claimed it has a 6.8-inch LTPS OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, very rounded corners, a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a battery capacity of at least 8,000 mAh.

SoC temp≠surface temperature You can always "insulate" the SoC more from the back panel of a phone to lessen the amount of heat it can dump into the chassis apparently, a cooler device feels more premium even if it's throttling more...

Well that's cuz they all lie Firstly, the names for process nodes since forever ago are just marketing They no longer reflect pitch size Second, manufacturers will always, and I repeat always, use the power headroom to to make a "f...

Because even those names are marketing The naming schematic stopped representing pitch size forever ago, and chips still waste a ton of power in the interconnect metal layers and since you're doing Gigaherts, there's quite a bit of switc...
