it is very easier for opening and repairing the phone in case of a damage. no need for a heat gun and dealing with glue and ...
and plastic would not shatter if your phone falls on its back!!
it is also lighter.
and also cheaper than glass in case of replacement.
personally I hate glass backs. :D

[deleted post]Nothing to do now, there is a hint about Mi 10 Lite Zoom edition. Maybe that will be solid build quality. Or waiting for Mi 10 SE or next Mi Note edition. Thanks for good response 👍

Last couple of months ago I bought iPhone 7 plus from China. Now using Mi 9 Lite. My next plan is to Mi 10 Lite/youth or Galaxy A71 5g for next 4 or 5 month.

With the money you spent on them you could've gotten a vastly better phone. Instead you kept downgrading. The Mi 8 has the 845, the Mi 9 SE has the 712, and the Mi 9 Lite has the 710. Had you kept the much faster Mi 8, you could've not gotten the next 2 phones and just gotten something like a Vivo IQOO 3 instead.

Your analysis is correct and I know about it. But, I have no complain about other specifications but build quality. Why not metalic frame? I am using Mi9 Lite, used Mi9 SE, Mi 8, Mi6. All are metalic body. 7.88mm thickness with plastic frame is not a solid build quality. If it is aluminum frame I must buy this one undoubtedly. It has good amoled display, but why not punch hole selfie? I have to wait for Mi10 SE or another upper midrange device.

The best width for me personally is less than 73mm. It was previously rumored this phone would be 72mm. That's why I was excited. I may still buy this depending on how much I can sell my Mi 9 Lite for. My primary phones in 2019 were Mi 9 SE, Mi A3 and Pixel 3a. Even though I bought bigger phones last year I just don't like carrying them on a daily basis.

There is this phone in the market in such a low price point and people still be praising the iPhone se 2020 which is terrible and has double the price of this one

It's less wide than the LG V30 (though it is a half a millimetre thicker, but that shouldn't make a big difference, it's still thinner than most other phones being released right now) which at the time of its launch was the smallest 6 inch phone on the market.

Just when I was getting hype for Xiaomi's first small phone of the year it turns out it's the same size of many other phones that have already came out this year. The periscope is cool, the price is amazing and design is awesome. I'm just sick of big phones. I'll look towards the Pixel 4a now.
