Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 Lite 5G in Europe last month and today the company announced it will unveil a new variant of the smartphone on April 27 in China, dubbed Mi 10 Youth (machine translated from Chinese).
Alongside the Mi 10 Youth, Xiaomi will also detail MIUI 12. The unveiling will be streamed live starting at 2 PM local time (6 AM UTC).
We don't have the full specs of the Mi 10 Youth yet, but a poster shared by Xiaomi on Weibo confirmed the Mi 10 Youth will come in four colors and pack a quad camera setup on the back with one of the modules looking to be of the periscope variety. Yet seeing how none of the other Mi 10 phones have a periscope telephoto unit, it's unlikely that the Lite will be the first one to offer it.
The Mi 10 Youth, like its global counterpart Mi 10 Lite, will support 5G networks and may have a Snapdragon 765G SoC at the helm. You can head this way to check out our launch coverage of the Mi 10 Lite to know more about it.
Details about the MIUI 12 are scarce right now, but we expect to hear more about it in the days leading to the official announcement.
From the official Mi 10 Lite renders, it doesn't look like the frame is made of metal, even though the Mi 9 Lite has it.
very well said! both Honor 30 and Honor 30s with their periscope zoom cameras at such a price :)
All variants of Mi 10 series will have premium build quality including Mi 10 Lite: glass + aluminum frame + glass.
