Using this device for three weeks now. So far the best in this segment. I prefered it over mi11x pro for the reasons: metal frame thus less thermal throttling which renders the 11x pros top performance to 70% of its peak performance, ois for the main camera, better build and form factor, more 5g bands, IPS LCD as the amoleds are more prone to screen burns and discoloration over long term usage.
The device is a charm to use. Does whatever is thrown at it.
Performance is excellent, battery back up is simply outstanding you won't need to charge it in daily basis unless you keep it in your hands for all day long. Main Camera is phenomenal. Pictures are sharp and contain a lot of details. Macro is way more operational when compared to 2MPs crap in other devices. Haptic feedback is flagship level for sure not like poco or redmi series. Miui12.5.1 has the best so far with a sheer performance and outstanding battery. Reception is best. And yeah I didn't encounter a single hassle in proximity issues as reported by others. The proximity sensor is working fine like it did in my earlier devices.

So I checked the device thoroughly before unwrapping it. Didn't notice any scratches. If yours was also a global variant from a reputable retailer, which came sealed, it could be a factory test unit that wasn't properly inspected. (The phones which they choose to stress, drop test and durability test from each batch)

I've been using this phone for about a month now. Mi 10T Pro 5G, 256/8, Silver, Netherlands import. One of the best sub-$500 phones I've had in years! Much better than the Mi Note 10 Pro I had two years ago. Great build quality, outstanding audio, a very unique feeling Haptic Feedback engine, 2-3 day battery life, and an awesome screen! Best LCD I've ever seen on a phone, I'd take this over a standard OLED any day.
Connectivity is very good, has better reception than any Samsung in the household, and the radiation levels are acceptable. I haven't had a chance to try out 5G, but the 4.5G speeds are fine. There's always a Wi-Fi connection wherever I go, so I have the phone set to 3G Only to save battery. Wi-Fi has above average range, latency is very low, and the 5GHz connection is reliable. I get 150Mbit/s downloads all the time, which is the max speed of my current plan. Although, the Mi Note 10 Pro had a better main camera. Not in terms of quality, but I think it had less distortion around the edges. Still, the Mi 10T Pro 5G has a very high quality Macro camera (It's AWESOME!) and a pretty good ultrawide. The 2X digital zoom on the main 108MP sensor is also very close to optical quality, thanks to Xiaomi's excellent software processing.
Speaking of software, MIUI has come a long way! MIUI 12.5 is definitely the best iteration so far. Less bloat than Samsung's OneUI, ability to uninstall most system apps, ability to actually use all system apps without a Xiaomi account at all, very detailed privacy practices and toggles, aggressive background apps management (which I like!) and most importantly, some very unique useful features which are exclusive to MIUI. For example, the audio processing is very good and stable. There's a "Calibrated" display mode which is actually very color accurate as far as I'm concerned, reading mode has a "Light Colors" option which is very nice to have at night, and I found myself using the Video Toolbox more often than I expected.
My first ever Xiaomi was the Ceramic Black Mi 5 Pro. These phones have come a very long way, I can easily recommend the flagship Mi series to anyone now. Redmis, POCOs and Mi Notes might seem to offer better value at first, but they always cut down on costs in some other way. Make sure to get a real Global variant from Xiaomi directly if possible, to avoid counterfeits or bad software. Almost forgot to mention, this phone has an IR blaster! These are great for when you're staying at a hotel and don't want to touch the TV or AC unit remotes. You can just use your phone instead! Or sometimes you might find yourself at a small restaurant with a very loud TV, while the waiter / waitress is in the back taking care of your order. You can use your phone to slightly turn down the volume without bothering anyone. And for the love of god, please, don't even bother getting a Snapdragon 888 phone. They still very much have a severe heating problem. The Snapdragon 865 5G in this phone is perfectly fine. If you're really concerned with heat output, take a look at Huawei's HiSilicon processors, they have very cool thermals. But then again, the Snapdragon 865 5G is also very well made.
Anyways, great phone! Good build quality, great specs, reasonable price. Definitely recommended!
Any issues in the new update(v12.5.1)?????
PDV, 13 Jul 2021Is it worth the jump from Mi9 T Pro to this phone? Cause my Mi9t still works great. I have jumped from the Mi 9T Pro to the Mi 10T Pro and am very happy with it. While it ain't the most perfect phone out there, it has a lot of great features that are worth the upgrade.
The internet connection is very bad so far display also very slow but the battery is the best and super fast changing is the best
Anonymous, 17 May 2021If you intend to play COD at max frame rate, the heating is just unbearable. I think it'... moreyes it is. it was made with metal frame for that reason. that metal frame works as the exothermic materials that carry out the heat outside. to keep them cool inside.
Vonch, 27 May 2021Using this phone, sendinf pictures bia messenger is much blurred, much pixelated.. enable HD

BEN90, 17 Jul 2021Actually you're wrong. LCD consumes more power than amoled, and the LCD screen of mi 10t ... moreThe way you compare the screen of Mi 10T Pro with iPhone 11 is irrelevant too, considering the huge difference between the pricing. It might not be as high quality as the one on iPhone but it definitely is one of the best LCD used at its price range.
I miss green tint, black crush, black smearing, pwm flickering of amoled.
BEN90, 17 Jul 2021Actually you're wrong. LCD consumes more power than amoled, and the LCD screen of mi 10t ... moreActually hype is necessary i have played hdr video in youtube and enabled enhanced colors in video toolbox option. And plyed video side by side with note 10 ultra. And the colors it produced were in par with note. May be you should check it side by side with ip 11.

LCD consumes more power than amoled, and the LCD screen of mi 10t is nothing compared to the quality of iPhone 11 screen. The 144hz only makes it smoother which is only noticeable when scrolling, but in terms of the richness of the color produced, they ain't on same league. Mi 10t pro is an awesome phone, but the hype is unnecessary

You might consider to wait for the next 11T later this year which I assumed has a better specs and almost similar price
