got the phone 1 week ago, it is the real one.
I was not aware that there were fake ones selling around, in that sense i was lucky.
I can say that the phone is up to my expectations. This is my first smartphone and it feels so comfortable. The phone is very powerful, however there are many apps and games that still need to make use of the computational and graphical capabilities of the new snapdragon S4. I hope that 2013 apps will exploit the phone's true power.

the ONLY way to be sure you got the real xiaomi phone is by purchasing it straight from xiaomi's official website, it's the ONLY way. The other sellers raise up the price to make a profit, and may even sell you a fake phone. I believe November 29th is the next day xiaomi releases more phones for sale. Hope this helps.

How can anyone be sure they are buying a real Xiaomi MI-2?

Bu... moreOn AliExpress, I ordered from a seller called "UGoodBuy", and they seem pretty trustworthy. I contacted them several times, and they always respond to me quickly. The seller told me that they will get Xiaomi Mi2's on the 15th of November, which I'm assuming is the release date for Mi2's second batch.
