So far, this phone is amazing!! Great IPS screen (I'd say it's on par with HTC one) Amazing camera, (Xperia S is a joke compared) and blasting performance. Everything is just so smooth..
Build quality exceeded my expectations, it is plastic, but not cheap plastic. Has a kinda premium feel about it, and the backplate sits just right..
I'm usually a stock android fan, but I dare say MIUI is even better
One thing I'm not really satisfied with, is the 1080p video capture. Although image quality is great, it looks kinda shaky..
Btw, I use 32GB version, and I bought it over ibuygou.com, got it delivered with DHL.
Those you've bought this phone can you tell me where did you buy it from and whether the quality was good or not cause I am from Europe and I am a bit hesitant about buying from China (please add the price if you can)
AnonD-177545, 01 Sep 20133G specs are WRONG! Correct values: WCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz From www.xiaomi.com/mi2s -- the... more3G specs are correct. It's 850 not 900 as you said. I suggest you look it up again. I own the phone. Bad ass hardware but software has too many bugs they try to fix every week with updates if you bitch about it enough in the forums.
I just put order for this phone today at http://www.ibuygou.com/reg/?uid=5B0AC7CEE98097AE86B00DEC0CEEF066

Been using this Badass Chinese machine for 3 months and I'm sure that this is the real deal. Tough processor, wide screen, awesome camera, decent battery life, what else can you ask for? The only thing that annoys me is the fact that this phone is a bit thicker compared to samsung and stuff, but THIS PHONE TOTALLY WORTHS IT!
d3m0sth3n3s, 05 Sep 2013Is the Wi-Fi really dual band? I mean, does it work with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands?32Gb version single band 2.4
Very good phone, very fast and smooth. Only flaw is that it's slightly more bulky/heavy than traditional smartphones
I do own one of this litle monsters and I have to say that this phone gave the the real experience of a powerful android smartphone. I had a samsung galaxy s2 and bought a Xiaomi MI-2s and the difference is uuuuuggeeee. This phone is just perfect... all works as it should. Recomended!!

Does anyone know if this will work on straight talk? Gsm frequencies appear to match but was curious if cdma values matched?

3G specs are WRONG! Correct values:
From www.xiaomi.com/mi2s -- the 参数 tab.
mi2s vs samsung s4 vs htc one vs lenovo k900 vs sony experia z
32GB version's 13MP camera is branded: Sony Exmor RS lens.
16GB version's 8MP camera is non-branded.
Better than Apple,Samsung,Sony,LG,Nokia and all others, great specs, quality and design!Way to go Xiaomi! :)
leledumbo, 14 Aug 2013With this price, you can't ask for more. It's even too amazing that it beats original S4.The not cheating S4 LOL

My power saving mode saves almost 50% compared to normal mode. I play games around 1-2 hours a day with a lot of browsing and 6 background apps. And I still get 16-20 hours of battery life. You could install some battery monitor app and check which apps eat the battery most. By the way, removing some bloatwares (which are installed by default) can also improve the battery life.
