The /data partition is shared between the two and all applications are available on both system, this could break things if you install two ROMs with different base framework. You can enable True Dual Boot which virtually splits the /data partition as well using, for instance, CWM posted in miuiandroid forum.
Anonymous, 12 Aug 2013How about it built quality. Does it has cheap plastic feeling?> How about it built quality. Does it has cheap plastic feeling?
Nah, the plastic is damn hard. You will even need to bend it to open the back cover and it won't break, showing its strength. The whole phone is solid, no creak whatsoever at all.
This phone is a beast!! Faster than SGIV.
Can't wait to see how it compares to the new LG G2.
gdilais, 30 Jul 2013Can anybody confirm if it has all of the 3G Networks listed on the specs? (850 / 1900 / 2100) ... more1900 appears as supported band on xiaomi's web site http://www.xiaomi.com/mi2s/#params
Can anybody confirm if it has all of the 3G Networks listed on the specs? (850 / 1900 / 2100) as I've seen on many websites (including the official partner (www.ibuygou.com/) that it has 850/900/2100MHz and I really love this phone but I need the 1900 band. Thanks in advance.

Love this phone. Had it for 3 weeks now. The great thing about it is - it is almost unique since almost everyone else use Samsung/iPhone. You are not attached to google with this phone by default til google apps are installed. It is very responsive and unlike the other brands - there is not a lot of bloat in it. MIUI is absolutely georgeous and stylish and if you are from a country Samsung/HTC/iPhone UIs are the majority - this is an eyecatcher. It's not about the benchmarks that concerns me - it's the feel of speed when you actually use it and this is the phone that feels really fast.
actually the reason is that mi2s has a stronger and faster cpu than the original s4 now the s4 active and s4 snapdargon are in par with mi2s and s4 LTE-A will kill it with it's speed and the monster that is called snapdargon 800
Hi sir. I would like to fill some unfilled information there.
Xiaomi M2S 16GB - use f2.0 aperture , 8MP camera , Branded lens
Xiaomi M2S 32GB - usb f2.2 aperture , 13MP camera , non-branded lens.
Great design and performance. The 2 GB RAM + 1,7 GHz Quad core combination works really smooth. But still, my biggest concern about owning this phone is to give a scratch to the plastic back cover while opening it. Really hope that MI-3 is going to have a metal back cover which can easily be removed. Great job China!
[deleted post]i think you work for Xiaomi maybe, because you really dont know what your talking about. The main reason why this phone has high benchmark is because it has a 720p screen and the S4 has 1080p, so if the s4 was 720p it can easily reach 26,000 while the exynos version can reach 30,000+.
