Angry Mobile Nerd, 08 Aug 2014Xiaomi is spurring the race to the bottom with their unprecedented low pricing.
I give Op... moreUnprecedented low price? Seriously? Are you joking with me or what?
True when Mi1 is launched 3 years back, its unprecedented low price compared to any smartphone in the market has brought a huge impact to China smartphone industry. Many media, reviewers and IT organization said that it's just a short-term hype and it will fall quickly. Guess what, XiaoMi survived through Mi1, Mi2, Mi3 and now it's on its 4th generation Mi4. It also became one of the fastest growing company in China these few years, from nothing to the top selling brand in China. If it were to fall it would have fall during its first generation and wouldn't exists now.
Now, XiaoMi no longer has the "unprecedented low price". They already managed to bring down the prices of smartphone in China and in the world. Many brands in China already started rolling out flagships at XiaoMi's standard price, 2000 RMB, including Huawei, ZTE, MeiZu, OnePlus; just to compete against XiaoMi.
XiaoMi phones are not at "unprecedented low price" anymore, they are at the standard price, the standard of 2000 RMB which is influenced by themselves to the smartphones industry. If XiaoMi were to fall due to this reason, then all these brands will be together too, and the chance is none, IMPOSSIBLE.
Oppo doesn't really deserve much. Vivo is the one who pushed up the quality, design and high-end standard of China smartphones, and XiaoMi is the one who pushed down the price to such an affordable standard now.
I am just feeling weird because I as a traveler always find some XiaoMi users all around but you as someone who lived there permanently can't find XiaoMi users around? That's why I'm doubting you because none of my friends who're living in China would said so. XiaoMi is the most frequently seen smartphone brand in China. Probably just because the places I traveled to is different from where you're living as China is just huge, I guess.
edison888, 08 Aug 2014iPhone is still the number one best selling smartphone in this planet..Well Said Bro...I Phone 5S Undisputed Winner Till Date .
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2014That is not through their own dealer networks. That is the reason there are lot of fakes out t... moreWrong again.
They start with factory direct online flash sales but once a product enters mass production and theres no more demand for flash sales they sell in bulk to local distributors who then resell in physical shops outside. They do this so they never need a real warehouse as distributors will quickly pick up any unsold stock.
I think u haven't removed the cover on the screen.
Remove it first and then try calling again. Let me knw if it solves.
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2014Lol. It's people like you who complain when there's a phone with 16GB non-expandable storage b... moreXiaomi is spurring the race to the bottom with their unprecedented low pricing.
I give Oppo and Vivo the most credit of chinese mobile manufacturers for pushing the envelope.
You can believe what you like, but im here and you are wherever and if you think your couple weeks here supercedes my years then so be it but most wouldnt agree. Ive met a lot of other people just like you, they visit china for a couple weeks a year and think they know everything, but really they couldnt be more wrong. Its when you live here you'll start to get it. You are just a tourist even if travelling on business.
Angry Mobile Nerd, 08 Aug 2014Uggg, you can buy Xiaomi phones in outside shops all over China. Of course, you didnt know that. That is not through their own dealer networks. That is the reason there are lot of fakes out there and it is not safe to buy through non official sources.

Of course, you didnt know that.
I am much worried about service centers.. are there any service centers for xiaomi in bangalore..?
Are there any service centers for Xiaomi Mi3 in Inida..? I am planning to buy it, can you please suggest on its performance and i am much worried about service centres
Angry Mobile Nerd, 08 Aug 2014It's interesting whenever a phone gets launched with only 16GB non-expandable memory everyone ... moreLol. It's people like you who complain when there's a phone with 16GB non-expandable storage being launched, I don't and I never did. Please clear up your mind of what you are reading and saying. I also never said that 64GB is a stupid choice or what, it is up to the user whether they have good storage management skill to use just 16GB or not. It is you who keep telling "oh, 16GB is definitely not enough for a phone and you will regret 3 months later". Guess what? I've been using 8GB Nexus 4 for 1.5 years, 16GB Nexus 5 for half a year and 16GB Mi3 for 2 months and I've not having any sort of regret.
Oh really? The last time I visited China (May) every train and bus I'm on always have a few people using Mi3 and RedMi. I even chat around with two university students who are using a Mi3 and a RedMi Note (he got it using a F-code) and they're telling me that it's quite good but not good enough compared to his iPhone 5S. I wonder which area of China you are in to not see XiaoMi users. Of course there won't be 5 out of 10 people using XiaoMi (if that is what you meant by a lot of) but there will always be some you can find in streets, public transports and restaurants.
Race to the bottom? Definitely not happening to smartphones, or especially XiaoMi which is growing in the right direction of smart living environment. Maybe you should really look into the IT-scene sometimes.
And you're making some jokes again aren't you? Did you see me telling people Mi3 a perfect "no cons" phone? Nope. I'm telling people that it has a below average camera so it's not suitable for them if they need a good camera. I'm telling people that they should get another phone if they're looking for additional storage space. I'm not biased like you, bro. I'm not telling people to buy it or to leave it, I'm telling people what they should expect from this phone and does this phone meet their needs, and then it's up to their own decision. I even suggested people to go for Nubia Z7 Mini at a similar price or wait for OnePlus One at a higher price.
Oh yeah, I never installed Antutu on any of my phone in the pasy few years too, and what's wrong with telling people that they should remove the screen protecting film which isn't a proper screen protector?
I don't get you man, your last paragraph is completely nonsense which are false accusation against me, and you seems to be actually not knowing things around in China despite the fact that you claimed you have been in there for 10 years.
Anonymous, 08 Aug 2014Hey dude don't worry, phone sold by Flipkart is 100% genuine. Also for getting benchmark score... moreMy antutu Benchmark is 35929... its showing amazing.. wat can u say for this.. its an excellent phone.. for 14K..
