(This comment is only for India) High sar value high sar value..... the same crap I heard when motorola phones was released and now again when xiaomi launches it phones in indian market. To answer the question every mobile in "india" have sar value more than any other country
Don't believe me than go search in gsmarena itself samsung galaxy s2 the international version i9100 you will find that sar value is differnt in differnt country.
SAR US 0.16 W/kg (head) 0.96 W/kg (body)
SAR EU 0.34 W/kg (head)
Now get my point, in india every phone is having sar value more than 1 W/kg. The reason behind this is that in foreign countries there are low power cellphone towers at shorter distance whereas in "india" there are HIGH power towers at longer distance just to save money and thus results in high radiation from mobile.
If you are complaining about high sar value blame indian telecom network ecosystem and not the mobile companies.
The sar value displayed by other companies are genuine but they are of other countries and not india. But Motorola and xiaomi are showing the indian sar values. Some are complaining that xiaomi has not displayed its mobile sar value on thier website, such people can Google and find the sar value, on some site it is 0.something and on some site it is 1.something both are true in foreign country it is 0.something and in india it is 1.something. And not to forget each mobile phone has same story.
So please stop confusing people and let them buy such wonderful phones.
And still don't believe me then you are at your own. Continue writing such crap.
" JIYO AUR JINE DO ".:)
I have a doubt is it like same as Nokia Xl.does it has a Google play ▶ store. Please clear my doubts. Because I'm willing to buy it.thank u
kiran, 01 Aug 2014I think we should wait for oneplus one.It is better with snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB RAM, and ... moreOne plus one will be lot more expensive. This is as good it gets in this price range. It is our choice anyway !
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2014So funny, the magic word is "local vendor"
Upset vendor who can't earn profit fr... moreI do agree to your point dude but frankly speaking, there is no capital invested by Xiaomi in India that can help its economy to lift a little (Service Centers and After Sales Jobs do not count). The mobiles are directly shipped from China's mainland The profit is directly routed to China's economy. Sadly the demise of Micromax and other Indian brands are similar as they ship majority of parts from other countries and only do the branding on the phone (we only get to keep a part of profit). So when its a question of choosing between local vendor and cutting out the middle man to decrease the price ultimately for customer, I would rather prefer to buy something from "Local Shops" for 500 bucks more (the economics of money circulation or refer to Currency Circulation). I would quote a research on Amazon to throw some light on the issue-
"Amazon creates 5000 jobs and destroys 25000 in the process".
Xiaomi Mi3 is awesome!!!!!!
and when its a question of choosing between Xiaomi and Samsung,HTC,LG,Apple or even Lenove it should be brought down to price+features vs price+features.
Winner obviously is Xiaomi.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2014As it has a non-removable battery, so what steps we can take if (in case) this cell phone gets... moreIf apps hanged just long press return, if phone hanged just long press power button.
Boy o Boy, yesterday got this phone in my hand. At first i was a bit skeptical but after using it i am really confused now. I was waiting for Note 4 just because of AMOLED display, but compared this to my friends Note 3 and it blew it away, colors were better then AMOLED, how can it even possible??? i am a big samsung fanboy just because of their AMOLED displays but this screen produces more jucier colors and better whites than Note 3, and sound is also better thn Note 3. If they launch it in 64GB i will buy it, for me 11 GB is just not enough. But really respect for XIAOMI, never expected this to be soo gud. I wonder when will they launch MI4 in india.
P.S.- Phone is not mine, one of my relative (lives outside India) ordered it at our place. So used it for 1 day only but really really impressed
As it has a non-removable battery, so what steps we can take if (in case) this cell phone gets hanged???
Guys there are lot of bad comments here about Mi3. I don't know whether they are really genuine. I got the mobile on the first sale 22 July. As a user of more than two weeks, it is an awesome device. If you don't trust me, just grab if any of your friends are having it. When you feel it you will love it. It not only looks and feels premium, but also works as a high end device. It is a premium device. I read comments about chinese engineering & american engineering, please don't be biased by the chinese brand, it not a yet another chinese brand or mobile.
There are 3 performance modes. 1.High performance 2. Balance 3. Battery Saving. In High Performance my mobile Antutu benchmark result is 34762, stays top in the rankings.
I have installed Asphalt 8 Airborne, Frontline Commando all I high graphics intensive games. Plays without any lag at all.
I tested choosing the Battery Saving option and played the games. It played well without any lag in even Battery Saving mode. Think what it could do in High Performance mode.
Heating Issue. When you play Asphalt 8 , which smartphone doesn't get warm?
I have Note 2 also, it also gets warm when playing Asphalt 8. I didn't find any significant increase in heating comparatively to any other smartphone.
I think, People hear use Mi3 for first time and they play games and they sense the warm and decide it heats up, without knowing what other smartphone does. Every phone in market right now heats up when using graphic intensive apps.
Battery Backup outstanding. I operated for a whole day, with 3g, wifi, gaming , calls, with screen brightness of 75% & in Balance Setting Mode. I still had juice left to charge still next day. If you use Auto Brightness or reduce the screen brightness with Battery saving mode, it can easily last for 1.5 days. Battery charges in less than 2 hours.
Themes... Guys trust me , whole lot of themse.. i can't stop seeing them. Been glued to it. The design, look everything so good. The UI 'MIUI' interface is a the icing on top. Some may not like the apps being rounded in shape, especially who are used to typical android apps shape. They can use any launcher such as Nova Launcher, once installed it gives the look and feel of the typical android interface. The sky is the limit for 'MIUI' customization. You can select different components from different themes and use as your own them in whatever way you like.
Camera: Outdoor pics are awesome. I agree under low light it does shows some grains only when you zoom. But guys it is not a cam, it is a mobile. And trust those grains aren't visible unless you zoom in completely. Secondary camera's age & gender detection is a real funny feature. It is just a funny feature, age changes depending upon the amount of light falling on the face, but will make you guys laugh with your friends.
USB OTG works very well with pendrive and External Hard Disk. Able to connect 1 TB WD my passport HDD and play video from it. If anybody wants to know how to connect External HDD, use USB Stick Plugin & Total commander so that NTFS file format will be detected. The same with pendrives if its FAT32 it can detect directly, else install the above apps.
The phone looks beautiful and feels awesome. It is very slippery so a TPU Case or any case would be advisable. AND TO THOSE WHO SAYS THERE IS NO INFO ABOUT GORILLA GLASS 3 IN OFFICIAL WEBSITE. CHECK MI3'S OFFICAL TWITTER PAGE https://twitter.com/MiIndiaOfficial/status/491613019495870464 (sometimes this link doesn't open properly, go to https://twitter.com/MiIndiaOfficial and scroll down for Jul 22 or ctrl f after scrolling for gorilla ). IT IS CONFIRMED THAT IT GORILL GLASS. due to some licensing agreement or something it is not explicitly stated in the official site.
I haven't tested MHL out yet. Though in GSM arena it is mentioned as MHL supported. There aren't any concrete info about whether it supports. I have ordered a MHL will be getting it sooner. As I have a Note 2, I can check with both & update here about the support of MHL.
Guys it is a BEAUTIFUL BEAST! USE IT TO BELIEVE IT PERIOD
meticulous , 31 Jul 2014Let me tell you all one thing. How a mobile works from outside is just another case of how you... moreSo funny, the magic word is "local vendor"
Upset vendor who can't earn profit from Xiaomi, as Xiaomi is benefiting consumer directly by eliminating the need of vendor, this should be the future of phone business, cut those vendor profit & sell at real price.
Bravo Xiaomi, hope other will follow suite.

Prashu, 31 Jul 2014It is very worst phone please dont buy this hand set..I bought it few days back.. it will give... moreOmg....how do u find this ???
I google it and found very correct info as u given....
Although many radioactive materials are silver-colored, metallic solids in their pure state, they can vary in color and exist in different physical states, including liquids and gases. They are also physically indistinguishable from other (nonradioactive) metals.....
And mi3 is also in silver colour...how great u are.....thanks bro......
But how do get this info.....again i google it..thought either u work in bhabha atomic research center (barc) or u have some gadget like doraemon.......
A PRD is a wearable gamma and/or neutron radiation detector, approximately the size of a pager. When exposed to elevated radiation levels, the device alarms with flashing lights, tones, and/or vibrations. Most PRDs numerically display the detected radiation intentisty (on a scale of 0 to 9)
So what was on scale bro.......
Ho ho ho ho .........
