All with heating issues.. This is not a new problem has been there since day smart phones have been launched. I had simile issues with my Samsung s2 and then later with S3 post which I decided to do away with Samsung for good.... I had approaced a number of times to Samsung customer care and after much of argument got a full refund for my phone. The interesting part is that not even Samsung customer care or the team team could answer the simple question which was what is too hot? My both my phones use to clock temp between 45 to 54 degress cel. As per the techs the company did have a standard operating temp for the enveroment in which the device could be used however they did not have any cut off for the device it self. One smart manager at Samsung told me that the same information is there in the service guide book!! However nothing was there..
I don't expect xiomi to answer the same as well but few things we need to remember wile using our phone
1 number off process running in the back ground
2 applications update
3 out side temp
4 over charging and finally the desine off the phone
Mi-4i is a compact phone and has a lot off processing prower keep a check on the above few and u all should be fine
However one thing is which company's do not disclose to the customer.
If in case you have locked a tech issue with in a week off buying the product and the issue is not resolved then as per the policy you can either ask for a full refund or a replacement
Keep in mind the issue needs to be locked in the first week it self. So for all those who have done it you have a chance off getting your money back all you need to do is push the customer care and most importantly document everything over emails

I charging the battery all night, but in the morning the battery was only 95%. I removed and then reconnected the charger, but did not recognize. I restart the phone, and then recognized the charger and charged up to 100%. Anyone else had this problem/situation?

The phone is good but need more inprovement about it's camera and phone software.
it can't stand infront of samsung galaxy s4 or s5.
but in this price it is more than enough.
i have purchased it from flipkart.
also the main thing is the servise center in india is low.

unfortunately I used fllipkart and bought a useless brand mobile xiaomi Mi 4i. My registered mobile number is 9744466607 and email id is gopakumar0506@gmail.com. At the time of delivery itself the display was complaint after one week struggle with flipkart customer care team, I sent it back. Because of my bad luck, I have received a replacement product, which was horribly damaged. No lights on the menu button. Lights are over flowing from the borders of the mobile. front camera is not working. Phone is going to silent mode automatically. From the past three days I am in touch with the flipkart customer care team and they are unable to help me to arrange a call with technical team. They are giving silly reasons for not giving me a call back. I am always available on phone. Only for flipkart technical team, I am not reachable. some one please help me return this bloody product and get rid off from flipkart for ever

I see the comments bellow all issues about software. Like force stoping, lagging camera,etc.
Does anyone have hardware problem? Like touch screen error, function key not work, flash problem, or something?
I seen the display unit and the quality looks great, camera os damn too good, multi tasking is awesome, heating? I guess all of device above quad-core will face some problem. So its very common if heating device is a problem. I plan to buy this phone but i still need read other opinion from you guys.

its a wonderful phone... highly recommended for all... using it for 3 weeks now.. one suggestion i want to give its owners... that go to camera settings and reduce its contrast to lower or lowest.. and also reduce saturation to low... this will make low light pics (specially the ones clicked with flash) lovely.. because by default it captures very high contrast... just with this fine tuning it can put any camera phone to shame....
xiaomi have given a wonderful camera hardware.. finest pair of lens and image sensor at this price...

The specs say 'Fast battery charging 40% in 60 minutes'
But that only works out at 1.2ah while real fast charge phones are at least twice as fast.
