who you blame this device,after update really no issue just bit low sound,,best support from mi,I always admire,it's really a super device,I did not find other phone equal quality,it's brings different test,I frankly say best device of the year

The phone overheats above the uncomfortable mark. You just cannot hold it close to your ears without not thinking about any health hazard. Problem is; the company does not recognize the defect.

The overheating issue puts all other good features to shame.Even after the 805 MB update the phones temperature
during calls and during 3G browsing is definitely over the comfortable mark. The phones should be recalled and suitable replacements offered. Flipkart should place an advisory on their site warning prospective customers of the hazard.

All the features are excellent . But there is no card slot.
If company gives 32gb version then it will be a complete smart phone.

Kisabh, 05 Jun 2015Sound quality is very bad If you find the sound gets soft after 5 to 10 sec especially after the software upgrade, go to setting>about phone, then press on 'kernel' a few times until you get to the calibration screen. The first entry is to calibrate the speaker. Press on it to calibrate and your speaker should be back to normal.

User here and I have to say very pleased with the phone. No problems whatsoever and very good value for money. If you have a problem with the heating, battery, network etc. I personally think that it is just a manufacturing problem to that particular unit and suggest to go to Mi service centers for a check. Cheers!

Chinese versions do not have google apps(play store, gmail etc.). you will have to root the device inorder to install google apps (rooting will not void warranty). However Xiaomi global warranty is not applicable in India (I don't know why its called global anyway)

Fantastic mobile. I used mi4i for 10days.first one day mobile heat was over than other mobile. After update no heating problom till now. I am very happy for bought this mobile. It is ubsolutely great value for money. Display and battery backup is great.
