Bought the phone when it launched in Malaysia. Used it for couple hours, have to let it stay inside the box. Bad phone. Although it roll out the update, the problem still occur. The music file for ringtones, notification and music it get corrupted. Bad software experience.
UI is clean, but not stable, it goes stay for a while before another application launch. Phone call unable to get thru to you immediately. It need to wait for a while.
Overall, it is not as expected good as it claim on its launch date.

I am thinking of buying this phone. The dual sim has LTE. Does that mean it wont support a GSM sim card?

for one HDR pic it takes 4 to 5md.
just imagine if u hav 5000 images in galary.

the cell is out of order.it is neither getting switched off nor it responding to any commands.it is hang.no booklet is provided regarding cell information.it is just a week old.there is no information of service centre. dhananjay pune

This phone is not good for buyer in europe becouse phone on 2G have 850 and 900 mhz,but on 3G dont have 900mhz,in many countries they using 900mhz in low sognal places. and outside towns,that can be huge problem.Also why to buy this phone that cost 290 dollars on online shops,when you can buy Mi4 fdd lte with 2.5 ghz 3gb ram for 320,or Mi4 2.5ghz with 2gb ram for 299,both suprting europe networks,low difrence on pricae butgetting bette processor,ram,infrared...

or else, you can plug thumbdrive with micro USB connector.

OTG query : Yes It supports OTG.
I m using sandisk 32gb OTG USB 3.0 pendrive (around 1,000/-INR).
No need of SD card slot, Just plug and store / transfer

on mi4i replacement box it shows msm8939 processor and when we run CPU-Z or Quadrant bench it shows it having snapdragon 615 msm8916 processor. Both flipkart and Mi is cheating to customers using first generation snapdragon 615 processor in mi 4i Also now Mi has replaced sony camera with Samsung which is third class quality

Beware , previously it was sony camera now xiaomi is fixing Samsung camera which is cheap and third rate quality

3 week review- amazing phone. batter is great. lovely size. fits nicely in hand. amazing clear camera. photos come great. selfie camera even better. heating problem has totally gone after the 71 mb update week back. was pleasantly stunned to see that xiaomi rectified so efficiently the problem with and update. only -ve is 16gb space where around 11gb is left for use. this couldn have been a 32 gb phone. also black color option should be there though white also looks good. very light fone too
