I was waiting soo long for this mi4i now,. woow great design and good battery, display, ram, price,. But without a memory card slot with only 16gb internal memory is a big disappointment for me,. I think it a serious joke what xiaomi did with mi4i,. with only 10.5 GB available for users,. In India memory card option is must a needed one,. We dnt need 32gb or 64gb version,. With extra 4k or 5k INR. Just need a memory card slot with 1000 INR more. I like this phone, but now I'm totally disappointed. But nw I'm checking zen phone 2,.wow it's cool with dual active sim slots, with memory card slot and many versions with different configuration of memory and ram! Finally my waiting ends zen phone 2!from xiaomi to Asus! Finally it's my true story. Thanks for reading this,.

Xiaomi explains why Mi 4i lacks memory card
slot and its argument is convincing.
Yesterday we talked about one missing feature in
the Xiaomi Mi 4i. It lacks a slot for microSD card
and hence you can't add more storage to it.
While it will not be an issue for most people,
some users have already voiced their concerns
at the lack of microSD card slot in the Mi 4i.
However, Xiaomi has now explained that a
microSD card slot is not part of the Mi 4i
because there are some good reasons to do
away with it. Hugo Barra, vice president for
international at Xiaomi, says there are several
reasons why the Mi 4i lacks a microSD card. We
have seen companies defend product decisions
even when they don't make sense. But in this
case it is different. Xiaomi's argument is solid
and the reasons why its latest phone lacks
microSD card slot do seem genuine.
So what are these reasons? Here is what Xiaomi
told us:
-- MicroSD card requires a large motherboard (25
per cent larger in the case of the Mi 4i because
its motherboard is already very slim) and a
significant redesign of the device that leads to
considerably larger form factor.
-- If Xiaomi had put a microSD card slot in the Mi
4i, it couldn't have put a bigger (over 3000mAh
battery) in it without increasing the thickness of
the phone.
-- Xiaomi says that SD cards can significantly
slow down system performance and lead to apps
crashing. In fact, according to company's
surveys it has found that SD cards are a
significant cause of device failures (up to 30 per
cent of customer support complaints) due to the
poor quality of SD cards in the market, many of
which are actually fake.
These are valid reasons. Also, these are the
same reasons why most of the high-end phones
nowadays don't come with a microSD card slot.
But what about consumers that require more
space. To start with, Xiaomi believes that 16GB
in the Mi 4i is going to be enough for consumers
even if they want to carry full-length movies in
the phone. But in case, users need more space,
according to Xiaomi, they can use Mi Cloud
feature that allows users to automatically save
full-resolution photos in the cloud.
And finally...
Xiaomi says that it will sell the Mi 4i with more
internal memory (most likely 32GB and possibly
64GB) in the coming months in India for users
who require more space.

Good configuration at 13000 rs price range but lacks corning gorilla glass and metal look of MI-4, A chines phone.... do your research b4 u buy...

This hone is made with all materials of good quality with chineseware so if any roblems are faced its your resonsibility as you chose this hone thats all i have to say.

We want a good compatible phone than a slim Phone. its okay if the phone is a little thicker than ordinary phones. So its better to have a phone which has an expandable memory card slot and and a much powerfull battery rather than being most slimmest phone with low capaclity battery and no sd card slot which is worthless.

Its like having a beautiful girl with you but you cannot do anything with her, except of holding her stands, even if she allows you to hug you.
Mi 4i a beautiful phone in terms of looks but a beautiful junk box because you can not do lot more with the limited 10.37 GB usable memory. You have to do compromise with the apps, games and videos.
Not a machine for boy and mans. Surely girl would love it, if memory size does not matter. Waiting for the launch of 32GB variant, putting the post to MR. Hugo for the variant 32GB to be launch soon. Else do not put pizza in-front and say you cannot eat.
