No Gorilla glass.....next
Every outdated phone beats the Mi 5 for the simple fact that it doesn't have gorilla glass.. Or does it...then why do Xiaomi never show gorilla glass in the specs of any of their phones.
Lipu, 11 Mar 2016Yes it has a corning gorilla glass 4..Umm how are you so sure, i did not find any official declaration from xiaomi on their chinese website
Please attach the link if you can

Is this phone going to be available in the UK, if so from where can i buy?
Maddy, 11 Mar 2016It has Corning gorilla glass or not?Yes it has a corning gorilla glass 4..

AnonD-504690, 11 Mar 2016then what happen when you put 100gb on your slower memory card? dont you think that doesnt ele... morewell as for ram is concern i think on 64 gb of memory 4 gb of ram require to operate smoothly because ram have to handle very heavy task and we have not to forget about future android updates and new games and apps will sure increase load on ram for 128 gb i think we require 6 gb of ram

"i don't agree with you if you think 4k is tech that should not exist and FHD is sufficient than we also don't need FHD"
Actually, I was not willing to argue anymore as it is so clear.
I did not say 4K tech should not exist... The more pixel per inch the clearer the display, it's a fact we cannot deny. But as I mentioned, most people, based on statistical data, prefer FHD than 4K because the limitation of our eyes, and that is FACT (please do a research, coz I've read many polls favouring FHD).
Why do you need to put 4K in the expense of battery life and more $$$ for the unnoticeable difference? Mi 5 choose what the majority people need, the basics and the essential thing, more juice for longer usage and more affordable in term of price. It's a wise move I must say.
Of course I want 4K or 100K if possible if there is no "side effect" but the truth is it's not possible yet.
"for example iphone 6s has ppi of 326(750 x 1334 pixels) which is not full hd and his screen outshine every phone out there but for apple it is there research and type of display to use compete against 2k display right now"
Mind you, do you really think company like Apple is not able to put 4K in its phones?
There IS a reason behind it.
"for mi 5 ram xiaomi have to put at least 4GB ram as standard because it increase performance putting 4 GB ram on 128gb doesn't make sense because in real world when my phone is filled with 100gb data wheather i put any latest memory method it will slow down show sluggish interface their are only few phone with 128 gb memory and they are not big seller"
You contradict yourself. Previously, you said 3GB RAM and no SD slot are drawback of Mi 5. Now that I provided you the fact that Mi 5 has 3 variants with explanation (please read again), your reply seems no relevants at all. I see @Kamvinci has already explained to you.
AnonD-504690, 11 Mar 2016unless they improve battery tech, id say yeah. my eyes cant detect difference between 1080p an... morebattery tech is almost on line to go best like quick charge 3 will charge a bigger battery very fast and new SoC based on 10nm goes to improve performance and power efficient as well and for our debate subject 4k what i see new display material like that samsung has invented super amoled from amoled will change the perception and bring the revolutionary change to display tech as we cannot always stick to what today we are using AND AT LAST IT IS REALLY NICE CHAT WITH YOU THANK YOU MY FRIEND TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHT WITH ME
Maddy, 11 Mar 2016It has Corning gorilla glass or not?Xiomi has becoming insane phone maker charge premium with a phone doesn't even has a full international LTE built in. You could buy a same quality phone with almost identical hardware at half of that cost.
AnonD-19414, 11 Mar 2016i don't agree with you if you think 4k is tech that should not exist and FHD is sufficient tha... morethen what happen when you put 100gb on your slower memory card? dont you think that doesnt elevate the problem you talking here? 3-4 gb only matters if you multitask heavily... as in like you play 5 games simultaneously and need to change between them every time. unless you do that... 3 vs 4 gb doesnt really affect you much. mi 5 pro is a 4 gb device with 128gb storage. if you want more you can practically buy two of those for a single price of other "branded" flagship. i wont complain.
AnonD-19414, 11 Mar 2016okay let's get this when companies launch 4k display phone you won't buy you stick to FHD and ... moreunless they improve battery tech, id say yeah. my eyes cant detect difference between 1080p and 2k... let alone 4k. its just a novelty that bring more cons then pros. but suit yourself. im not saying company shoud not pursue improvement in tech. but theres time and place for everything. 4k in a 700$ phone didnt do it well last year. i doubt 4k in a 300$ will be beneficial either.
Oz, 11 Mar 2016On Dual active phones you can receive a call 2.sim (you can see 2.call) while you are on sim 1... moreSorry, do you mean... for example, when I am calling with sim 1 to my friend (talking) and someone else call me on sim 2, the phone will ring or give a notification, something like that? So I can put an hold on my call (sim 1) and receive the call from sim 2, I mean can switch like that?
If that the case, I don't know if Mi 5 has that feature, and in fact I've just known there is something like that. Ok, I am learning now, thanks.
Hope somebody can give clarification on this matter.
