Anonym, 09 Feb 2016Ok, read the first paragraph:
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_4-review-1119p3.phpAre you saying that the writer has more knowledge than Xiaomi & the Gorilla Glass Team who are working behind the technology ? The article has explained that Mi4 is using different glass protection called Corning Concore, which is also produced by the same company as Gorilla Glass 3 & 4. Did you even bother reading the article ?
And today I've got à reply from corning team :
The two products serve different applications. Gorilla Glass is intended for demanding designs and provides high damage resistance through TRADITIONAL discrete-cover glass manufacturing. Concore Glass is designed for a DIFFERENT touch screen technology and manufacturing process, used by some device manufacturers. Concore Glass delivers outstanding damage resistance compared to soda-lime glass, which has been traditionally used for this touch technology. Furthermore, it offers similar scratch resistance as Gorilla Glass.
The Gorilla Glass Team
Is the Xiaomi Mi 4Â’s screen covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass?
The short answer is, no. The long answer however, explains why. The Mi 4 uses OGS technology for its display, and Gorilla Glass doesnÂ’t play well with it. Therefore, Xiaomi has layered the Mi 4Â’s screen with Corning Concore, another scratch-resistant solution from the same brand that makes Gorilla Glass.
Concore Glass is an OGS Laminated Display from Corning, the manufacturer of Gorilla Glass. Concore Glass is as hard, resistant to scratches & damage as with Gorilla Glass. Concore Glass is also known as Fit Glass because of the laminated display technology used in which Protection Glass and Touch device is integrated into one unit.
They are basically the same in terms of hardness and resistance to scratches. But they are used in different applications. Concore glass is part of a display and Gorilla class is used to protect a display from damage. CONCORE GLASS COMBINES DISPLAY & PROTECTION GLASS INTO ONE. This reduces the thickness of the display.

There is always something better just around the corner, that's how evolution works, the key here is to only buy stuff when you really need them.

Do you think they will call it a flagship model if they don't ? You can easily check out the specs for Mi 3 & 4 and see if they have glass protection, and then ask yourself if 5 is smaller than 3/4 ?

Oneplus 2 or Lenovo Vibe X3 or Wait For Mi5 to Launch on 24th Feb ??????
A week back I purchased OPO2 and within 24hrs I cancelled order as I saw Lenovo Vibe X3 hv more features than opo2 (like IR, microsd, camera etc ) although it has SD808 and 3gb ram but that barely make any diff n infact 808 is still better thn 810 ....
but then I saw the Mi5 launch date is confirmed by xiaomi (24 feb) ... so i thought its better to wait bec its features esp the SD820, IR and QHD is attracting me...
But I am still confused whether it is worth waiting bec Im looking for a flagship killer ph under 25000Rs (360usd) ... if it also comes out to another flagship mobile over 30K ... it will be a waste of time (then better I shld buy OPO2)
Plz suggest me guys....

I don't think you've really wasted your time. GFXBench has not really been so accurate about detecting screen size. Read here http://www.droidafrica.com/2016/02/05/xiaomi-mi5-performance-compared/

Consider a remedial English grammar course before making your babbling and rambling comments. I am not kidding. No one is questioning your right to express your opinion. But when you display a complete lack of basic language skills, any "message" you hope to convey, is lost. Will the sim card slots be standard size or will they be micro-sim size?
