I am going to buy this phone and I need the reviews from the users who have been using this device for at least 2 months.
Is the heating problem still there? What's the MIUI version that you're using?
If the heating problem was there, how did you get rid of the heating problem?
Needing recommendation from the users who have used this for at least 2 months. Do you recommend me to buy this phone? Or would RN3 Pro be a better option? (I'm not an extensive phone user and I just love the appearance of Mi5. Other than that, RN3 Pro is more than enough for my daily needs)
I am using Mi5 phone. In my experience it is a waste of money . It heats up while charging and battery drains fast. it has developed touch problem in 20 percent of the screen area in just 2 months of use. When approached to service centre they asked to deposit phone for two weeks and then the part will be ordered. Dont buy mi product . No service support in time.

I am using it since last 3 months but not satisfied. understand that you have some problem with Mi phone.but you need to write this on Mi4 forum. This forum is for Mi5.
Hi Xiaomi, have your ever thought about the
increase in brand value of your organization if you
give nougat updates to all your eligible devices
including 32 bit processor devices, since I don't want
to give up my mi pad 1 Nvidia Tegra.
I purchased mi4 phone 1 month back . I found multiple defect
1.Auto dialed in on any no randomly which is in recent dialed list
2. Once connected there is no way to disconnect phone
3. once you dial from contact list , you will remain in contact list however in back ground phone will dialed in ...
I found mi4 is third class and not value for money moreover there is no support available once you try contact in helpline no you will not be connected even after trying long time..
aatif khan, 04 Nov 2016If you are so much into games then buy iPod touch. It will be an affordable deal. Same perform... morewhy not, this is a really good phone for gaming. I am playing the latest ASPHALT XTREME on my mi5 in full high settings and its running perfectly fine. it has 530 gpu which is right now the highest in snapdragon linup. so if you want a android phone on which you can do gaming then you will not go wrong with this apart from that if you want apple device then its different story and i will not suggest you to go with apple ipod touch as screen is very small in size and you will not enjoy the gaming so if you really just want gaming and nothing else then you can go for apple ipad air 2 or else if you want phone then you can go for iphone 6s or 6s plus but if you want android and want cheapest and best phone in terms of display and gaming then mi 5 is the best possible solution right now
but i see both black and white variants have both glass and ceramics now in the website of xiaomi. that's why i'm confused. It was only black first to get ceramic back but its both now to have glass and ceramic and i'm unknown how ceramic would look.
LED light available
I had to downgrade to 7 since ver 8 had battery issues... I did it via TWRP
