Mi5 or mi5s for gaming? Anyone?

I am having a lot of issues with GPS with this phone. I have the latest update to 9 but still problems persist and I heavily depend on Waze for my commute so this is a huge annoyance for me. I really like this phone except for that particular issue of the GPS always dropping. Can anyone suggest a fix to my problem?

mi5s is one of xiaomi finest. everything works great. it has one of the best camera that you can get with that kind of price. however, there's downside to it, which is the updates. the phone has been released for over a year now but it still running on marshmallow which is absurd for a so called flagship. if you dont care about android updates, get this phone now. really worth the money! If, however you really care about latest updates, you can skip this and get Mi A1 instead.

For about the same prices ($270) , which phone should I get: Xiaomi Mi A1, or Xiaomi Mi 5s? I'm completely aware that the Mi 5s wins the performance category, but personally I think that Mi A1 looks better, will have more updates, no bloatwares, dual cameras and has portrait mode. I'm really a heavy user, 70% gaming (graphic intensive), 20% web browsing, 9% photography and 1% text and calls (I have another phone for that).

Hi,
Few days ago I received MIUI 8.5.4.0 global stable OTA update, and I can confirm that battery life is now about 15% better than before, especially in standby mode which now drains only 1% every 2-3 hours.
Everything else remains the same..
Still waiting for MIUI9 global stable!

I've had an M1 5s for 9 months, and though it's a good enough phone I have a number of complaints:
1) The phone ringtone is too quiet, I have missed too many calls to count them.
2) Too many contact details go missing.
3) The manufacturer's apps are unnecessary and don't work, where do the downloads go, certainly not into the downloads folder.
4) No android updates in 9 months!
So that's it, I'm going back to Apple, I pick up my iPhone X on Friday.
