Problem comes - High expectations but don't want to pay for it.
That doesn't work.
G0D, 03 Nov 2016This is not a g00d brand. So, expect l3ss. Never compare Samsung to xiaomi. are you 12? typing with numbers in place of letters doesnt make you c00l

Inverted Star, 03 Nov 2016Specs is excellent however I'm kinda irritated with the navigation keys located at the bottom ... moreI don't understand what's that Good for. If you want navigation controls on screen then what the hell is that empty bottom part is doing there? Cut ✂ it off. On screen navigation control keys occupied some area on the screen. So I prefer off screen control...

In the name of 'value for money', we Indians (most) are more interested in mid range and lower ended phones.Try to squeeze out the most from whatever is paid. Expectations are of flagship from a mid range product. From a low-end device like Moto E3, you will find people expecting to play Asphalt and other graphics intensive games (and when it fails, they blame the product as faulty)
That is why Samsung, Micromax, OPPO, VIVO, GIONEE etc. sell like hot cakes. They offer tons of features at a low tag.
Premium phones have very niche buyers.
Xiaomi started off as an affordable brand in India. Mi5s siblings,Mi Mix,Mi note2 are premium offerings with 25k and upwards. these have different intended uses.
The chunk of handsets sold during Diwali sale are redmi 3 series, the mid range and lower mid range offering.
Even Mi 5 was on offer, but how many bought that???there are people who complain about absence of FM tuner.but that is not what a flagship is meant for.
This reflects the mindsets of buyers.
Every company has market research team and they understand the suitability.
Mi 5s + , mi note2 & other hi end device not launch in india by xiaomi. only low range fon (garbage) dump in india? its not justified? r v indians fool? xiaomi sold moe than 10 lac fon in india just 18 days sale @ time of dipawali .
Specs is excellent however I'm kinda irritated with the navigation keys located at the bottom of the phone not on the screen.
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2016Good Spec but Battery Low Capacitynothing developer entire universe will build hi capacity battery then 4000mah if support super fast charging v3... u point me 1 if u founded.. u think they build smartphone like a cup of coffee??
the specs say GSM / EVDO / LTE but www.willmyphonework.net which is recommended by Xiaomi to determine if phone will work with your carrier shows this phone is not compatible with 4G LTE networks like verizon. How can you really know if this phone will work in the US on verizon's 4G LTE network?
LumiaTouchwiz, 19 Oct 2016No disadvantages at all but you can easily change it to global rom in 5 minutes how to flast to global rom on mi5s plus .. can you help to share the links
A sure hit in India . Release it as soon as possible in India or LePro3 will grab the place as the LeEco Le Pro 3 will be released in India in December.
Oneplus 3 is much much much better in every aspect.. Price range, performance, looks, etc. One thing I just want to say that oneplus 3's back side is too slippery. I want to vote oneplus 3, 8 out of 10 :) .
No card slot, no radio and only 386 ppi screen??? Even the camera is also not very comprehensive. Hmmm... A premium phone must have premium features!
