Anonymous, 27 Apr 2017in india hardly small difference in pricingin Indonesia, an imported version has bit cheaper than authorized release.
One of the best looking phone I've ever seen, just not really confident with chinese software
Cpt. Power, 26 Apr 2017Why the hell it does not support SD card. And why not 4000+ mAh battery. you dont know about flagship mobile. just go and take a look at midrange mobile
MI6 use Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 made from 10 nm. hopefully it will be more efficient on battery using without sacrificing performance. that's what I know.
Drifter, 25 Apr 2017I already have a Type C to 3.5 mm converter and the sound output is horribly distortedIs this real, if yes I will not bother with this phone. If iphone ok maybe converter quality one step ahead
Cpt. Power, 26 Apr 2017Why the hell it does not support SD card. And why not 4000+ mAh battery. We expected Quad HD display but it settled at FHD and the screen size is less than 5.5" . Apart from these it is the best at this price point.
Anonymous, 26 Apr 2017Really ??? i never heard about such things ?? may i know in which country ??Probably all except China. In South Africa (where Xiaomi has entered a little more than a year ago) the Mi 5 costs R8000 ($600 USD) but I imported mine for R2850 ($215 USD). That is a major difference.
Harwey, 26 Apr 2017What effect that adapter (type c>3.5mm) will create to the sound when connected to external... moreThe correct answer is: we don't know yet. USB type C supports both analog and digital output.
If it's analog, audio quality will be dependent on the DAC that Xiaomi has included in the phone (This means the USB Type C to 3.5mm Adapter is simply a connector and no audio degradation is expected with the loss of the 3.5mm format). The Xiaomi Mi5 has excellent audio quality, powered by the audiophile SA9018 chip. The Mi5s however - not so much. So it's a gamble.
If it's digital, then audio quality will be dependent on whatever DAC you choose - but you have to buy it separately or used the supplied "Adapter" (In this case the Adapter is much more - It includes the DAC chip and possibly some circuitry). In this case, I recommend you buy an external DAC if the supplied quality isn't good enough. You can buy one of the best DACs on the market for about $16, so it shouldn't be an issue.

S3mm, 26 Apr 2017Depends on the adapter you bought An expensive one should perform better and cheap one... Wel... morebut LG, Sony Samsung OnePlus wont give you SD835 device for 360$. if headphone jack is necessary you can buy Nokia 3310

An expensive one should perform better and cheap one... Well cheap.
The mi6 will be a perfect phone if it has audio jack(when they has lot of headset line up)
The only company that i think are not going to remove the audio jack anytime soon is LG(boosting the built in quadDAC) Sony(they had lot of MDR headset series) and Samsung(recent acquisitions of HARMAN) also OnePlus(dont know the resoning dor this but just feel like)
I have seen this phone's hands on reviews and early camera reviews on a dozen different websites and youtube channels but no one is saying anything about the front camera.
Other than the resolution we have no idea wats going on there....???
Xiaomi is one of the best when it comes to selfie cameras.....
Let me knw if anyone knows about it.
