Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic edition quickly sold out

The Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic Edition went on sale today and supply promptly ran out. It features a black ceramic body and 18K gold trim on the dual camera. It carried a higher price - CNY 3,000, up from the CNY 2,500 of the base version.

Xiaomi does not say how many units were available, but there’s none of them left now. Only the Chinese branch of Mi.com was selling Ceramic Mi 6 phones and it’s not clear if Xiaomi will launch this special edition in other countries.

The fact that the forum post on MIUI.com was titled “First sale” hints that there will be more sales to come. When? We’ll have to wait to find out. Until then, you can check out the teardown.
