Lawwiee, 19 Jul 2021Still worth it to buy in 2021?If you find it in mint or new condition, yes, you can buy this one. I bought it in the mid 2020, and it is fast and snappy. The camera is okay, I use Gcam and get better results. The battery performance is average, normal use will get you a day. But, I tried playing PUBG with it and it gets heated up and slows down the game. So, for any task other than heavy gaming, this device can give you a smooth experience.
So far the best cell phone, speciallyits wolds best camera for low light capability
Anonymous, 26 Apr 2021Dude, this Definitely ain't a flagship camera. Hahaha. Im sure you don't have Mi8 that's why you don't know
Anonymous, 26 Apr 2021Dude, this Definitely ain't a flagship camera. Correct, but it uses literally the same sensor as Google Pixel 5. Installing the latest GCam will drastically improve image quality compared to the stock camera app. In my case, the shots are still flagship-level even compared with iphone 11
Alif Hadzim, 18 Mar 2021Mi 8...you will get flasgship camera, performance and super amoled screenDude, this Definitely ain't a flagship camera.
I'm using mi8 for almost 2 years and considering the price that I paid it's a great phone, prolly was the best buy phone on the market ($250) back in the days. However (it's always however lol) the camera is definitely nothing worth mentioning, it's a tiny bit better then Mi5 camera which is a bummer of course. Don't ever try to make a good low light Pic you'll never succeed. Second issue with mi8, and which is really important, is Amoled screen burn. Since I play the games a lot, it's logical that I have the same picture standing on the screen for a long time, like game menus and other bars. After a year or so I have noticed burnt pixels. Today it's all pretty visible specially on white background, and there's no cure for that, whoever tells you it can be fixed it can't. It can only get worse and finally you will say goodbye to the amoled screen. I don't know is this amoled worse than Samsung's amoled, but I suggest you not to buy amoled phones if you re a game player.
