i have been using it for a while now, and it has never let me down. with a 71% battery life, i can still squeeze 4 hours of screen on time out of it on an aosp custom rom. Still snappy and smooth if its not on MIUI 12. Great little phone

This phone is the best..using it since launch 2018 until now..still working like a beast,its will be lagging if the memory almost full,but when cleared memory,it will be a beast again..very smooth,good size make it a good phone as a daily driver..if xiaomi make a new mi8 with 5000mah battery,i will buy it..no doubt..

Perfect phone. I use it since 2018. It's been 6 years so far.
Screen is good. It is thick, light. Scanner works great. Face recognition works fine.
I dont use screen protector for 3 years and screen is great. Yes there arer some scratches but its fine.
Backside is great.
I just replaced the battery on it.
ALL IS GREAT. ITS A PERFECT PHONE.
I recently tried Iphone 14 pro for 1.5 year.
And got back to Mi8.
Nice, stylish, thick, with all features that Iphone 15 pro has, and even more (fingepprint scanner).

If so, how much and how long did it take to show?... moreTheres a tiny burn-in at the bottom of the display (the line of the gesture control) but barely visible. I noticed it because i checked it directly. And this is after ~5 years. My avg screentime 4 hours but during covid it was more than twice. My only problem was the aging battery but i changed it last year. This phone is immortal at this point, it wont give me a reason to upgrade. Its good enough, not perfect, but i really like it.

the lcd crazy strong with now its like 4 years of usage (plus I chiped my teeth try to bite the screen of), the backside basically barely holding back together, yet the screen still pristine, no sign of damage like at all, and I'm never use any screen protection. MI based, so even the phone itself give you spameous ad not just from checking your storage, even the mi store suddenly download random stuff. Yet. . . if you can tame every single stuff you encounter basically you got yourself strong, long lasting durable phone

everything is fine but one issue
when i turn on hitspot and starting download from connected device after mintues my sim cards will be loss until restart sim cards or phone .. does anyone have this issue ?
