As Redmi has become a separate line, the Redmi phone would focus making cheap price phone while xiaomi would go for making luxury phone. Put don't worry, cheap flagship is coming as Redmi has confirmed they will produce 855 phone in the near future

I wish Mi would have waterproof phones in the near future I try to keep my phone safe, but unfortunately I work at a pool and accidents do happen sometimes. Its not mandatory but its nice if Mi have this additional feature.

I actually thought the upcoming flagships would be so expensive. But i am surprised that chinese flagships like mi 9, honor v20 and lenovo z5 pro gt which all come with the latest flagship processors start at a price of cny3000-3500 which is roughly 450-520$. How is this even possible when iphone xr and samsung s10e costs about 750$.

What do you people who require waterproofing do with your phones? I've used mobiles for nearly 17 years and I've never lost a phone due to water damage. I spilled liquids on them, I handled them with wet hands, I used them in strong rain, I dropped at least one in a big puddle... Most of them were devices with easily removable plastic back covers, so really little in terms of waterproofing and they all survived until they were obsolete (or dropped one time too many). I don't use them in the shower and when I go swimming and I don't dunk them in the toilet, though, so if you're into that, then you probably do need proper waterproofing.
BTW, with devices with IP ratings, the manufacturer doesn't guarantee you that it will survive submersion, so the whole thing is a little moot. Xiaomi, on the other hand, doesn't get their devices certified (possibly also as a cost cutting measure, as the certification itself costs money), but does try to make their devices reasonably watertight. So an IP rating would be a "nice to have", but I don't see a rational reason to make it a "must have".

Oh indeed Mi 9 is much better than Pocco F1 in terms of camera and performance. The 7 nanometer Chipset Snapdragon 855 is more powerful than the 10 nanometer 845 in the Pocco F1. Again the camera in triple cameras in this phone the DXOmark ratings rate it the third best phone camera ever behind Mate 20 pro and P20 pro. But it is the very best topping every phone in terms of video. Make a research on that. I really want to have one because of the camera.

That's trash, has no FM radio, no slot for SD cards & most importantly no 3.5 mm headphone jack. Why are these essential, basic features of a phone been omitted? Ridiculous
