This was a very good phone.If this had snapdragon 712 instead of 710 it would have been better.Snapdragon 712 is more newer.

I bought MI 9 Lite in June. I am a heavy user. So far, it is the best smartphone I have ever had at a mid range price. It is actually holds its own against flagship phones. The battery lasts for at least 8 hours despite being in 4G mode. It's cameras are scintillating both the selfie and main camera. It is a beautiful phone and I would advise one not to walk with in unsafe areas if you live in an unsafe neighborhood as the phone attracts attention, especially without a back cover. It has regular updates. The display is clear and you'll have no problem even in glaring sunlight. It's pretty much hard to get by it , so if you see it in any store, BUY IT !! I predict it might end up being the smartphone of the decade.

Mi 9 lite doesn't get super wallpapers, this is only on handsets running high end SOCs.

I got miui 12 update. But very next day it disappears. What's the problem. Do any one have same issue

Today i got miui 12 on Mi 9 Lite...
Notification bar its the same and live wallpaper missing.

it worked great out of the box.
xiaomi's proprietary apps want a lot of really invasive and unessesary permissions.
after a week it updated to miui 10.
then the troubles began.
no text notification.
no sound notification.
the microphone only works sometimes for the phone.
the camera is really good (for a phone camera)
but that is really the only redeming quality.
I thought i was saving money.
i have lost so much time and frustration trying to get this thing to operate correctly.
it's garbage.
I'll never buy another chinese branded phone.

For example, I set up a profile in Tasker to automatically change sounds to Silent between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
I've seen reports that MIUI, because of its custom implementation of sound management, prevents automation apps from setting Silent or Vibrate only profiles.

More than anything it looks smart, runs well and I just cant fault it. Not sure what that doot is on about :D you sure its the phone that is the problem?
