Looking to buy a phone. what to choose?
Mi 9 SE or Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)?
I'm very used to MIUI :/

The battery problem is because of Fingerprint sensor, when you disable it, your draining problem will be fix.

Because Redmi ... moremost important differences imo:
redmi k20 is better for:
-battery capacity
-cpu&gpu
-bigger screen
-has 3.5mm jack!
mi 9 se is better for:
-smaller size(nice in hand:))
-better screen quality
-infrared port
-better camera*
*: selfie camera is better in specs and as i know the main camera lens on mi 9 se is imx586 but on k20 it's imx582. yet, mi 9 se has 720p slowmotion and 1080p slowmotion on k20 is better of course and i don't know if 1080p comes to mi 9 se in future software updates or not.
what you choose depends on your needs & likes.

I'm using mi 9 se for last 1 month. Sometime I see the green and yellow color becomes more problamtic in the display. Other colors also becomes sometimes extra saturated. Moreover the reading mode doesn't work.
Can anyone tell me is this a hardware problem or software ?
But the other performance is very satisfying.

Great phone overall. Built quality, speed and display is great. The camera, however, is a bit laggy. Definitely not smooth specially in portrait mode. The quality of the pictures are amazing, though.
Is there any MiUI update coming that may fix the small freezes of the camera?
