Anonymous, 24 Jul 2020I'm also on miui 12 but i have 3.2gb availableDoes the phone lag while doing stuffs even while gaming? If No, then why worry yourself about available RAM. Free ram is wasted RAM on mobile. You only worry if the device is lagging
mshahzaibaslam, 16 Aug 2020Does anyone feel that after miui 12 update, the battery has less endurance? No , only you.
I've been using this phone for 1 year, and there are no problems, for game mode, I can always use high graphics,
Bjoern, 03 Oct 2020Three weeks after the warranty period, the phone died. Just a "strange coincidence" ... moreSorry for your bad experience you had with this phone. I agree, you don't appreciate the sense of utility an SD card have until you need it. I used this phone for a while before I changed to another Xiaomi (Poco F2 Pro), I would say this Mi 9T Pro is actually a decent phone, if not for the abysmal 64gb of system memory of which only 44gb is available.
I can't help you with your problem, maybe a phone technician can have a better look at it. Could be motherboard problem since it died altogether just like that. If that's the case, oof.
Be that as it may, I still think that is an isolated case and you should still give Xiaomi a chance. Now I'm using a Poco X3 NFC, and I couldn't be more content. I bought mine for $190 (Malaysia) and it has everything, dual sim and memory expansion and all. But the best thing about it is still the price. Cheap phones are getting good. You will literally get more out of a cheap phones nowadays.
Three weeks after the warranty period, the phone died. Just a "strange coincidence" or (conspiracy theory warning -> ) is it programmed/planned?
No, I'm not a conspiracy theorist but it is VERY irritating, and now I also see my need of a phone with a separate Card slot, because I don't have a clue about how to get the latest pictures out of a TOTALLY DEAD phone. I do have "backup to the cloud" though not "à la minute", as it is technically difficult to have out here in the forest in Sweden, where I operate.
I bought the 9T Pro quite simply because I needed the Dual SIM-Dual-Active function (that my old OnePlus 2 doesn't have) and here are my experiences during this phone's lifetime:
# Lifetime, yes... one year... that's way too short even for a you-get-what-you-pay-for-phone. Well, I don't know if approx. 530 USD is extremely cheap, and taking into account that I could use it only for one year, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is the most expensive smartphone I've ever had, but definitely not the best.
# The fast charging I very much appreciate, especially as the standby capacity noticeably decreased during the last six months.
# The camera is - compared to my old OP2, old Sony Ericsson and the Samsung Galaxy S8 we also have in the family - not the best. But, it's working. For my simple needs, and after some tinkering with colours, it's OK. I find the video quality better than the photo quality. Of course, it can also be that I'm too dumb to get it right!
# Bloatware - yes, too much and it seems impossible to get rid of.
# Display - Very nice! Almost as nice as the Galaxy S8. The touchscreen works great and the fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate.
# The over-all quality isn't OnePlus class, but that I didn't expect either.
After these experiences, would I consider buying a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro again? NO, not a chance! I quite simply wouldn't take the risk once again.
After these experiences, would I consider buying a Xiaomi smartphone again? Maybe, but not for more than 200 USD, no matter the specs. Although, if the function would be guaranteed for like three years, then maybe. Even though my experiences with Xiaomi haven't been great so far, I could give them another chance, but the offer has to be very right!
For me it's about -> Price / (guaranteed) time of usage; what will it cost me per year to have this phone? The worst case scenario is that the phone is worthless after the warranty period, as I just have experienced. No fun, but I knew the risk, took the chance... and lost.
Penta, 28 Sep 2020how's the performance after Android 10 updated? AND what about the bloatware? .. is it tr... moreFrom other's experiences, yes, there is some bloatware, but it highly depends on the region where it was from. For example, the Chinese edition has tons of bloat while the EU/ International versions have much less of it.
If you are tech savvy enough to use ADB, you can kill ~90% of the bloat using the ADB tools that are on Github.

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2020the phone was perfect until the miui 12 update......it spoiled the whole experience....the UI ... moreExactly my words......I bought this 9T Pro a few days ago, it was MIUI 10 out of the box, I got two opdates very fast. First, MIUI 11 did some changes I could live with but now this MIUI 12 update just busted my whole theme and lock screen/walpapers etc. and changed /deleted some functions....I am yet to find out full extent of the "damages" done ....well its not the same anymore....just when I was getting used to my setup ! I mean what the hell is wrong with Xiaomi ?!!! I am not sure if I ever want to accept any updates from them. Maybe they have some nurdy geek jokers who are just showing off their bosses ?!!! Well if they insist on and keep on doing these things like whatever pleases them, then it will be "good bye" xiaomi for my next phone very soon !!!

mshahzaibaslam, 16 Aug 2020Does anyone feel that after miui 12 update, the battery has less endurance? I feel the same. The battery usage monitor is only a 24hr monitor. Should have keep it since last battery charge like in MIUI 11.
the phone was perfect until the miui 12 update......it spoiled the whole experience....the UI is very buggy with no major changes from miui 11.....waiting for software updates to fix the bugs.
