As a previous Samsung user I had issues with their battery not lasting enough for me. I went with Lenovo on my last phone. Cheaper less cpu power but 5100mAh was so great that I can't wait to get another but seems P2 line died with it. I would love to get mi a2 if they increase battery to at least 4000mAh.
AnonD-674280, 25 Apr 2018Look up for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 that is with SD636 with 6GB RAM and stock android that get... moreOk, performance stands up. But : Camera of this and Zenfone wouldn't be comparable,Android One = fast and sure updates without bloatware... Pure android also means less baterry consumption... Bluetooth 5.0 on Mi vs 4.2 on Zenfone... IR on Mi... Zenfone change front camera depends of RAM? 8MP for 3/4GB models VS 16MP for 6GB...Also Zenfone comes up to 64GB of internal vs 128GB on Mi... And as i said mAh means better battery but ONLY with same SOFTWARE... Look at the LGV30 3300 mAh and outstanding result... Than look at the Redmi PRO with 4050 mAh with battery drains issued by the software and with 0.5 inch less screen...
AnonD-674280, 25 Apr 2018Look up for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 that is with SD636 with 6GB RAM and stock android that get... moreYa gonna need to know that the zenfone max pro might be a good deal..but it is not wholly good at asome point let say.. The audio quality.. Mia1/mi5x really nailed that section tho.. And most people love hearing music but couldn't afford a high end phones which usually the best experience in that section.. I kinda guess this a2 gonna be the same.. Theres a special hybrid adater available online where you can use earphone and charge at the same time.. Makes me wanna upgrade from my current mia1
If this hardware is launched under Android One program in India (which is almost for sure), this is a really nice deal. With MiUi future updates (Android P and above) are not promised but under Android One they are. I don't see any competition for this device in India!
I thought I would consider it over Nokia 7 Plus but when I came to know that it is not having headphone jack nor big battery I have now changed my decision.
AnonD-754710, 25 Apr 2018If XIAOMI goes with this model on worldwide with Android One then Nokia 7 Plus will be sidelin... moreLook up for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 that is with SD636 with 6GB RAM and stock android that gets updates for expected 150 euro range. SD636 is not as good as SD660 sure but that Asus have 5000mAh battery and well as Antutu score shows ~110 000 for SD636 and 118 000 for SD660 so there isnt that much of a lose with the SD636 with just 100 euro less in price. And well no 3.5mm jack is big negative for me too. As i have type-c plug phone right now and no 3.5mm jack then i have bought one AUX cable type-c to 3.5mm converter and it was somethng 2 euro from aliexpress and it lasted only a month and then was useless. I have one pair of in-ear headphones that have type-c plug and i use them right now and they are low quality.
If i cant get my self a phone that has good hardware something from snapdragon or exynos that have type-c with 3.5mm jack i have a lot to choose from. Redmi note 5 pro 3GB/32GB cost 160 euro. 4GB/64GB cost 200 euro. Nubia Z18 Mini has good dimensions and SD660 for around 300 euro up. It's black but it's with glass back and ii dont like that. Meizu E3 Has nice dimensions for 6 inch screen phone and has 3.5mm jack and type-c but is prices around 340 euro up and dont have B20 so when it comes with B20 then the price will be less i think. Cause have balanced out in that time. Lenovo S5 is a bit big for 5.7 screen and dont have B20 and price of 200 euro for SD625, type-c and 3.5mm jack.
You could start to put AMOLED screens on your devices. It would make them perfect! =)
Based on last year's Mi A1, can anyone guess when the international version (Mi A2) will launch?
If XIAOMI goes with this model on worldwide with Android One then Nokia 7 Plus will be sidelined. Specs are same and look at the price difference.

Wow! SD660! Perfect middle range!?
2900 mah battery capacity, no headphone jack? Lol Fail.
Great phone for $250. The battery is 3010mAh not 2900mAh. This is definitely the budget phone king for 2018. Lovely piece of work by Xiaomi
