After having this phone for 3 months now, here's the cons i came across:
1. 720p is a big downgrade from 1080p, i did spend a lot of time in youtube before this phone, then i stopped because the quality is just horrible.
2. Volume up and down doesn't work while the screen is off(that's a bummer while you're listening to music)
3. The phone goes f#cktard mode from time to time, and overheats like hell.
4. Camera isn't that good as i expected.

very good phone for the price (got 128gb for 195 eur), so i´m not afraid of dropping it and cracking the screen. battery life is great, camera takes good photos, low resolution is acceptable for me. oh, and finally a phone which is not the size of a tv, which you can use with one hand.
just received notification that Android 10 is available for download. after reading a few comments here, i´ve decided to wait with the update, as the phone works perfectly on android 9.
the only issue i noticed after using it for two months is that while typing text, the space bar sometimes does not make the space (so two words are written together). seems like that part of the screen needs a harder touch/push (all other letters are ok). weird. besides that, no other issues.

Is this phone smaller in size than Mi A1? Can anybody answer this who have used both the phones?

This phone is not supporting carrier aggregation in indian network, this may be the reason the phone net speed is poor. We can b test this using net monster app. Even many mid range phone has carrier aggregation and it shows 4G+ , LTA-A signal in the notification bar
One more problem the wifi calling not been enabled. The manufacturer should push both the update to make this phone value for money

I bought my phone back in November, since then its working smoothly. The thing is I haven't received any update regarding Android 10 yet... so I'm not sure whether I will receive one in the future. So far there are no significant errors with my phone, but its truly disappointing not to have an update.

Hancha, 01 Apr 2020How the phone is now ? please tell me about this phone,,,? what is tha problem of this pho... morehi, maybe it's me but after a few moths (maybe 6) of using my Mi A3 I've experienced a few performance issues. The phone sometimes freezes for no evident reason, you just have to wait a few seconds and it's back to normal.

This latest update (39mb) seems to be very good so far.
As far as I've noticed, it's fixed the issue where the lockscreen fingerprint icon was not showing when the phone is lifted, but most importantly, it seems to have fixed the infamous issue with the proximity sensor behaving erratically during phone calls.

Tsimitsangaz, 18 Apr 2020Do not update to android 10 April patch, it lags after a while that much that the phone is unu... moreAfter Android 10 I do also realise that 4G is significantly slower and the signal strength is weak. The browsing speed is considerably slower . Earlier I see the speed of the browsing is comparable to iphone XR which I am using as business phone. I am not sure Xiaomi purposeful reduced the speed to discourage in buying A3 as they are launching A4 shortly.
One more drawback the Wifi calling not enabled.
