AMOLED tends to have punchy colors than IPS so comparing image quality on both devices using their own display is on a good method at all.

the fingerprint reader shortcomings i wouldnt have cared about. but i cant stand displays that have bad sunlight legibility, makes it useless so often.
makes me not buy this one.
topping it off with the too bright in dark instances whoch i can imagine is als9 not nice, lots of time.

update bateryproblem, 20 Nov 2019Hi. I installed the November 5 update. Now battery seems to last less than the other versions.... moreit didn't happen to me with nov 5 security update installed. MiA3 battery life is incredible day long lasting.

lukecooper, 21 Nov 2019please what should i get xiaomi mi a3 or xiaomi note 8I'm using Mi A3 for a month now... so far no problems for me... and I believe the android one is better than the MIUI which has lots of ads and bloatwares... My frnd is using the note 8 so that we compared our devices, and felt Pic clarity is better in MI a3... even if its hd+ 720p the pictures and overall the display looks more realistic than the note 8

It's not. Price-wise, it's comparable to Nokia 6 or below the 6.1, in which those haven't have an official Android 10 yet. IF, you want the fastest Android One update, don't buy a cheap Android One device from any manufacturer, buy the flagship from a company that only has Android one in their arsenal and nothing else. Lower-end Android One devices have a guaranteed update up to the maximum major upgrades and not upgrade speed. The fastest Android One major upgrade is only applicable to Android One flagships.

Why there is no Android 10 for Xiaomi Android One phone while those with MIUI is getting Android 10 ? We can't even see any Beta testing for Android 10 ? Is Xiaomi abandoning Android One program & letting all the current Android One phone stuck with Android 9 ??

Good phone, i like android one.
BUT im tempted to replace it after one month because auto brightness is driving me insane. resets every few hours or every day. Now just realise how i never thought about brightness after setting it once on sony phones. ehh.
