The comparison is copy from Gsmarena review. The comparison is included the battery endurance, Mi Max 108H but sunlight legibility terrible. XA Ultra battery endurance is 55H it is decent and the display is great. Do you want a lossy display then go for Mi Max.
The Xiaomi Mi Max sacrifice the Sunlight Contrast ratio to achieve 108h in the battery test. Furthermore, the Mi Max Neutral setting to not quite live up to its name, the white and gray colors have a blue tint. Yet, the reviewer found that the color accuracy improves if you push the white balance slider towards Warm. The white balance improves quickly (but magenta goes off).
Meanwhile, Xperia XA Ultra provide the 6 inch screen with good brightness and offers high-contrast and great viewing angle. It is comfortable for reading when you go the other way, push the brightness slider to minimum, the display put out 6.7 nits low enough that you can use it in the middle of the night. Apart from this, although XA Ultra color reproduction is not perfect, but more accurate screens in this price range are rare.
Sunlight contrast radio
Xperia XA Ultra = 2.906 (within 3.0)
Xiaomi Mi Max = 1.99 (within 2.0)
Conclusion: The XA Ultra have good sunlight legibility. Unfortunately the Xiao Mi Max is better stay at interior.
hey does mi max contains dual speakers or single speaker at the bottom?
i used htc desire 826 for one year before mi max ......received a delivey on 30th july...i will write my personal experience and review..
1)Size weight and display: Big...no huge screen 6.44 bigger than htc 5.5 but light weight than htc desire....slimmer...easy to carry..fits in pocket very well..... display awesome resolution good.
2)Battery:4850...bigger better than what i exp till now..htc desire 826 no near to compare..on heay usage with games fb and youtube...more than 12 hrs and and with average use over 1 and 1/2 day. and charging 2.5 hrs 0 to 100% on normal..one more thing u can see a difference when charging thru normal phase and 3 phase power supply.note...single sime user will get more backup compared to dual sim user.
3)memory and processor..32gb internal (25 gb user) far than better for average user processor is also good for multi tasking.. and kills every running app on clearing ram...even music app also.
4)connectivity.... good..wifi working fine...infra remote is awesome....i can use remote for both my lg lcd and hathway set top box..
5)gaming....super played clash of clan for 2 hrs continuosly temp raise only 5degree and battery 5 percent down..
no comment abt nfc as i dont have idea what nfc is..
1)camera....selfie camera is average bit it doesnt matters to me as i had purchaed mi max for battery backup..rear camera pretty cool.. but as everybody commented earlier..low light photos are not that good.
2)hybrid sim slot
3)no earphones in box
size im not considering as con beacuse phone is very slim and easy to carry even after its massive size..
thumbs up for mi max

Hello Friends I am going to write my personal experience on Xiaomi's new Phone Mi Max.
Before I start writing let me clear something that I am not a fan of Xiaomi Products. I have already used Xiaomi Note 3 & Mi4i. For me Note 3 was not that great. Mi4i was very good. When you hold Note 3 it feels cheap like Chinese crap. But Mi4i I think was very good to hold.
If I think about a good mobile phone then the first thing I think about is the display quality. I always loved Amoled Display. I am quite a lover of Samsung devices.
Last evening I bought this Xiaomi Mi Max. The 1st thing you will notice the size. OMG 6.4"..i used Xperia Z Ultra. But somehow I wasn't sure about 6.4 on 2016.it is massive big screen. But xiaomi has done tremendous job to make it compact. But still u have to use it with your two hands.
Mi Max is more than phone & less than a Tablet. But it's compactness is the key. Yes it will not fit in your jeans pocket properly but u can adjust it.Its is compact 6.4" phablet.
Call quality is good enough.
Battery is awesome. I used 8hours screen on with 3g enebled.i played games, watched videos, browsed Web pages, downloaded apps etc etc but still 45% remaining. It's awesome.
Performance is really good. Snapdragon 650 + 3gb ram is quite good. Around 24gb you will get for your use.
Display is not like Amoled for sure but still it's not that bad. It has a visual changing mode. U can change it to warm colour. Viewing angles are good but from certain angle display sometime gives you a washed out view.
Camera is really bad. In good lighting conditions it is OK. But when you try to take indoor photos it is just terrible.
Miui bit heavy & still confusing also. Around 1.2gb always blocked by the super Miui.
Fingerprint sensor works brilliantly.
But besides all I can say user experience is good if you think about the pricing. When you hold the device it doesn't feel cheap. Rather it feels expensive phablet.
Go for it. No problem.
Prashant, 04 Aug 2016Is 4GB/128GB version not released in India? I checked MI India site, Amazon India, Flipkart an... moreIts announced but made not made available for purchase.... Itz shall be made available late August.
The phone is great. I ordered the Xiaomi Mi Max 32gb from Amazon uk but was delivered from Hong Kong within 3-4 days. The packaging is great. I was given 2 glass protector screen and a phone cover by my distributor which is really good. The price was £225 with the additional shipping making it altogother £239.
I changed from HTC ONE Max to this phone so i can compare with that phone.
The camera is very sharp as compared with my Htc one max. The battery is one of the best on the market at the moment. The size is even better. My Htc one max was 6.0 inches whereas this is 6.4 inches. This falls between a phone and a tablet.
The only downside for me is the speakers. The HTC one max have incredible sound as compared to this xiaomi mi max. I noticed the sound was not stable when i was playing music. Also, the full volume is nowhere near the Htc one max which has one of the best speakers. I would have rated it 5 star if not for the speaker. The volume is a bit down even at full volume.
Is 4GB/128GB version not released in India? I checked MI India site, Amazon India, Flipkart and Snapdeal. They are all selling 3GB/32GB version only.
