when will you update the info about mi max 2 ? you guys has becomes lazy .
I don't understand ??? Mi Max 1 is better ! :((
Note: USB-C is not very important..
Based on my experience on Mi Max I would trade a slightly smaller display (lets say 6.3) in exchange for a slightly smaller size. Its just a tad too big.
I waited for new Xiaomi mi MAX 2 with great powerfull fuatures: with new Snapdragon 660, a lit bit improved both cameras, maybe improved screan to body ratio (smaller bezels) and some another simple improvements. I got Xiaomi mi MAX first version with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory. I thought to buy new mi MAX 2 and change my mi MAX. But when Xiaomi revealed original specifications of mi MAX 2 - it really disappointed me - WHAT ARE THE IMPROVEMENTS? - Maybe better camera, and a little bit bigger battery. I really like my mi MAX. And looking to the future - I see the only real improvement on mi MAX 2 - a little bit greater design, that's all. If mi MAX is mid range phone then it must have mid range CPU.
If Xiaomi won't improve CPU on mi MAX 2, then I'll be looking to another devices, maybe to other phone makers.
vahid23, 27 May 2017Just because the didn't name it tablet doesn't make it not tablet, it's a tabletRumours say the iphone 8+ will come at 6.5". If your opinion vahid stands they should rename it to ipad 8 : )
Xiaomi watns to optimize battery life by using the SD625 yet being able to perform more, in real-life performance, 650 does not differ that much from 625 when it comes to gaming and daily usage. Xiaomi is just being optimal on their choice for people who wants longer battery life since a 6.44" 1080 x 1920 screen can drain your battery with ease and don't forget that the Nougat is a buttery sucker.
Just because the didn't name it tablet doesn't make it not tablet, it's a tablet
Are you really sure Mi Max 2 has NFC chip? There is no mention of NFC in Mi Official Website!
Hopefully mi max 2 prime comes with snapdragon 660 (even 630 would be great) but until then I won't buy this phone
I'm very happy (using first MM) but when i see those specs i just went speechless... This goddess deserves to slap a SD660 inside.. 625 is just lame.
I'm MI Max owner. If MI Max 2 had 660 I would bought it for sure. Now it's a pass unless another variant with 660 will be introduced. Dumb decision.
Why not make it a world wide band phone, with 1,2,3,4,5 etc LTE bands avalaible??? Why only 1,3,5??
Redopolis, 26 May 2017Chinese love it for some reason. they have bad taste in general. Not at all, I'm latin american and I love this phone. I have the Mi Max 1 and the bigger screen is not a problem if it is for media playing or documents, it takes the reference from the Sony Xperia Z Ultra that I also had, but it improved the battery and the size . It is not made for everyone, but they care for the few ones that are not OK with 5inch display. The S625 is the only con for me, I'll wait for the reviews to see if it is worth the upgrade.
Disappointed with Snapdragon 625 AP. It is inferior performance AP to SD 650/652 AP, which is used in the previous model Mi Max. I think that Mi Max 2 should have used SD660 AP. If so, it would have been very strong contender and cost-performance leader in mid-range phablet market segment. I expect that Xiaomi will soon introduce similar phablet with new 660 AP as MI Max 2 Prime or something like that. So I will wait for it.
Ronit, 26 May 2017Do you think they will launch it? I mean its same as Redmi note 4 with bigger battery and sc... moreSame thing i thought when i gone thru the specs...!!! disappointed with SD 625..!!
cheapsk8, 26 May 2017The white front and gold back combo is so aesthetically pleasing ... NOTChinese love it for some reason. they have bad taste in general.
