In my personal opinion, and from what I see in some of the users, friends and people with whom I work every day, almost perfect device for the middle market will be the XL version of the A series of Xiaomi, for example MI A3 PRO or MI A3 XL as google does on its devices.
There is no doubt that the MI A1 and A2 & A2 Lite are good and successful devices. But I believe there is a place and expectation in the market for a very large device for the A series made by Xiaomi. because when a customer is interested in an Android One device such as MI A2 for example because it runs a clean Android but also interested in MI MAX 3 because of the screen's size, the situation here is that there is a dilemma what buy between two quite different devices.
The best solution in my opinion is to produce a larger version (possibly even more premium) of the A3 as Huawei does with the P20 / P30, Samsung with the S10, Google with the Pixels, etc. - to this place the market is marching... or alternatively create an Android one version to the MI MAX 4 / MI MAX 4 PRO, which will be released very soon.
Such a device is currently lacking and I personally estimate that there will be demand if it is launched.
I hope that Xiaomi receives feedbacks from their customers, listening them (and maybe reading comments) while receiving their decisions before production.

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2019Redmi note series has been very busy releasing their phones but mi max series has lost its way.The Max series has been once a year, so relax already. Max 3 was in 2018, Max 2 in 2017 and Max (1 ) in 2016, I would assume we get to see the Max 4 now in 2019, sometime between the very end of May and August/September.

imho, i wouldn't trade the entirety of the mid range king just for the notch.

Xiaomi is too slow for new models these days.
Samsung is taking market that belonged to Xiaomi.

Sad they dont make a real competitor to Mate 20 X.
Camera and processor need to be better for sure.
But again, this is real good value for the money.

ikraam, 21 Apr 2019Mi Max is made for people who need large batteries and good specs. I think like thatI appreciate big screen, but 6.9" and smaller bezels should be big enough.
