The EU version comes with the Global Miui which has full Google support.
As far as I know both have the same hardware, but the 128GB and 64GB Chinese versions do not support all of the bands, while the 256GB version and every global version support worldwide bands.
I have the 256GB Chinese version and manually flashed the Global version of Miui and it works perfectly (Google included). That requires unlocking the bootloader (which can be locked again when flashing the global version).
Finally coming to Singapore 🇸🇬 on 14 July long waiting for this phone since lunch in April still happy for that I'm going to get it

You don't need micro sd when you have 64/128GB storage and how rarely do you charge your phone while using headphones?
That´s not true . If you buy China version you wont have Google Apps , but if you buy the Global Version you´ll have them plus google pay.
no headphone jack, no micro sd, then no buy. using adapter wont let you charging, and use dual charging + audio adapter will give you noisy sound. zenfone 5z no hardware cut with more features and lower price will be waaay better
TrubbleMaker, 07 Jul 2018What does it mean that (from what I've seen) Xiaomi devices do not support GooglePlay? It will not come with google play pre-installed, you may have to download the apk on another device and transfer it over to the phone.
TrubbleMaker, 07 Jul 2018What does it mean that (from what I've seen) Xiaomi devices do not support GooglePlay?I personally bought the EU variant to use in the UK and have full access to play store.
Just got mine a few days ago and it's a brilliant phone. Had my worries about it working properly in the UK after buying from eBay but it works perfectly.
Really nice bright screen, quick and responsive. Also the build quality is really impressive, very happy with the phone and would recommend to anyone. My wife has the Huawei P20 and I just can't fathom why it costs more than the Mix 2S.
What does it mean that (from what I've seen) Xiaomi devices do not support GooglePlay?

be careful, the paint of the mix 2s will easily get chipped, specially on the lower portion...mine was less than 3 months old
Will it received the update of studio lighting like Mi 8? Anyone knows this info please let me know, million thanks.
The phone loses connectivity on 4g/4G+ Orange France network, even though it shows full signal. There are carrier aggregation issues. XA model bought officially in France
Arthur, 17 Jun 2018Yes, it has an IR Blaster as mentioned on this post https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-laun... moreAs a Mi Mix 2s owner I can tell you there is no IR blaster on it. Some articles and forum posts that predate the release are based on rumors or so called "leaks".
It is a really great phone though, no doubt about that, but no IR blaster.
McQ , 11 Jun 2018Does the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s have an ir blaster?
Noticed it on some other sitesYes, it has an IR Blaster as mentioned on this post https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-launches-xiaomi-mi-mix-2s-qualcomm-snapdragon-845/
>The Mi Mix 2S has on-screen navigation buttons like other 18:9 Xiaomi devices. The back features vertically placed dual cameras like the iPhone X. The phone also features an IR blaster, a useful feature which is uncommon among flagship devices.
Bling, 11 Jun 2018I think xiaomi phone is lack of updates. Mi mix 2 is still at nought. Makes me uninterested in... moreThe Mix 2 has been on Oreo for a while, are you running a custom ROM or something?
