Xiaomi basically started the whole bezel-killing trend in the smartphone world last year with its stunning Mi Mix 'concept device'. And now the Chinese company is busy working on that handset's successor. The Mi Mix 2 sure looks to be worthy of carrying that name, if we go by what's shown in the video below.
This was outed by renowned designer Philippe Starck on his official Facebook page today. Starck designed the original Mi Mix and will do the same for the Mi Mix 2. The video is labeled "Mi Mix 2 Conceptual Product Design WIP", with those last three letters standing for "work in progress".
Be that as it may, this gives us a tantalizing look at the Mi Mix 2, and as you can see Xiaomi is ready to shock the world once more with its bezel-killing antics. The upcoming phone somehow has even smaller bezels than its predecessor, and it looks like it will easily win the "best screen to body ratio" award this year.
If you squint at the right moment you can just barely make out the front facing camera on the right of the minimal bottom bezel. The earpiece is expected to once again be of the piezoelectric variety, vibrating the whole frame of the phone to create sound.
The Mi Mix 2 has so far been rumored to come with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB of RAM, an AMOLED screen, and a 19 MP main camera. It will be kept running by a 4,500 mAh battery apparently. It's allegedly going to land in mid-September for a price of CNY 4,999 (which means around $748 or €636 at the current exchange rates).
you can turn the phone around so the camera is in the upper position, it is not the same with the dell xps.
Is it possible to make "ON SCREEN CAMERAS" so that we can come out with "FULL SCREEN smartphone "
Oh i see, so all the credit goes for the one that actually makes something popular? Even if its not reflected by sales? Then i hope everybody here could just stop saying that the ARkit on the new iphones its just a copy from sony... as Apple is ...
