I miss my huawei
xiaomi mi note 10 or redmi k30?
krissy, 29 May 2020Mi Note 10 has only some LTE not 4G, bcoz when i swap the SIM card to my Huawei phone, it gets... moreDefinitely something wrong with the phone or its software then if what you said is true, and that's unlucky.
To be honest i never gauge the speed of my lines/phones before because so far I've not experienced any noticeable problems there.
I've read a lot differences of experience between the users of various xiaomi models too. Maybe that's the problem of xiaomi products or the same too with other brands? But so far so good for me, no big problems yet with close to 8 models of this brand I've owned to date.
Actually i am not a xiaomi fan too, the reason i stick to this brand is because they have dual apps, just nice for my dual sims. The second reason is their battery endurance, but this seems getting a little bit weaker nowadays compare to previous models
Would have been my ideal phone for little or no extra cost:
A) Dedicated 512 GB Micro TF/SD card slot
B) Dual nano SIM
C) Replaceable battery (why wait for Samsung?)
D) Include a triple transparent mirror case in the box
Love the edge, internal 256 GB memory but still would like to use my SD Card for all my videos,camera pictures and other downloads or screenshots, mp3/4 files, etc
Xiaomi, stay ahead because Samsung is going to fight back! All of the above wouldn't add more than 500 pesos to the price
Anonymous, 29 May 2020Last but not least , i have no problem with 4G connection, it's fast and enough , but i didn't... moreMi Note 10 has only some LTE not 4G, bcoz when i swap the SIM card to my Huawei phone, it gets ~100Mbps download speed , and that in the very same spot and just like 1minute difference in time, as opposed to some ~19Mbps on Mi Note 10,
if you ask me, that is a DIFFERENCE;
and to be specific it's not even LTE(?) bcoz HSPA+ has exactly that range, where its max is close to 20Mbps,
while 4G LTE (the 4G advertised on phones) gets you up to 150Mbps;
so regardless what its name is, speed test results speak for itself;
and can't say the phone is broken or not broken;
krissy, 29 May 2020pretty much, as a Huawei user, the things i mentioned are impossible, yet here we areLast but not least , i have no problem with 4G connection, it's fast and enough , but i didn't gauge whether it's really 4G connection or else
krissy, 29 May 2020pretty much, as a Huawei user, the things i mentioned are impossible, yet here we areI guess you've got yourself a faulty unit or else.
Most xiaomi users are smart enough to get rid of the ads
3 days of standby time in battery saving mode is too long for me, i am not that incredibly busy with anything else in my life till I've no time to sleep or to charge my phone
Dust or water resist are present in all the xiaomi phones I've used before be it a $100 or $400 model , no it's not stated in the specs but I've never experienced any trouble with water or dust to my phone
Yes for this particular camera it's draining some juice but and yes i also experienced that with other models especially if i am using flash , and it will take a while to load or run comparing to other apps
Anonymous, 28 May 2020I guess you are a first time user of the brandpretty much, as a Huawei user, the things i mentioned are impossible, yet here we are

- battery in saver mode won't hold for longer than 5days (3days is good if you get it on this phone)
- thx to the huge battery it's heavy
- no one needs slow motion video
- no water or dust resistance
- crappy sound
- only positive thing is the 108MP camera that drains the battery like crazy and the interval between pics @108MP is somewhere between 3~5seconds
- no 4G, it has only LTE which is noticeably slower
- if connected to internet you will see ads everywhere, not each 5seconds, but there is no app on this phone without ads, even the camera while launching will surprise you at least once a day with an ad XD
Jabs, 25 May 2020Huawei Nova 5T, last year flagship chipset + google service still availableAre you kidding me?! :D Mi Note 10 has AMOLED display, curved, way bigger battery, faster charging and wayyy better cameras. Nova 5T no OIS, no slow motion video, no headphone jack, no nothing! Can't be compered at all.
Why 4k @ 60 FPS not available...?
This one or oppo reno 3 pro????

Kiza, 22 May 2020I'm not sure did i understand you correctly with codes, so not sure what you mean with there's... morewhat i mean is, the remote i had, you just made run all codes without knowing the brand of the TV, and obvious enough it could take several minutes to get to one that turns off the TV;
about the range of the IR transmitter...in theory, the receiver sets the range to some degree, if you get a IR receiver with a 20 meters lens , it will at least double the range since it can focus more signal than a 5mm receiver diode (or whatever it's called, but it looks like a LED diode),
so if you ask about practical range, then your question has no answer,
but, the range will not exceed few meters due to a simple reason, you could control devices that are not yours, and that is an unwanted thing , thus the dispersion and strength of the transmission will be set to have wide angle (good bcoz you wont have to aim that much at your TV) but at same time it will make it weak (reason why TV remote has it in shape of a lens, and phone does not);
it's same with the camera shutter sound on Samsung phones, Huawei and Xiaomi allow to disable it in settings, obviously shutter sound will not allow you to take pics without other to notice it;
get yourself one of those universal remotes and make it run through all codes and then read out the code from remote and use as input on your phone, done.

But anyway, i would like if anyone can just try ir learning/recording codes with anymote or irplus apps on this device, if you can't, then i would like just to hear your thoughts about distance, range of ir blaster and general using in room or in public, how much meters/feets approximately can work. Tnx in advance

they all get produced in same place, and so many TVs can be shut down with same code, well the list ain't short and alone for samsung there 27 codes, i recall that in the past i had an universal remote control that would run all codes for literally any device you could think of and you would have to stop it when for example TV turns off,
i am surprised there is no such thing for android
krissy, 21 May 2020from the point of view of a programmer, if the hardware is there then it's possible, but by th... moreI agree with everything you said, today devices are much better when using BT or wifi, but, for example, i have from earlier one lcd tv, which brand is unknown and local, so i can't find brand name on list in stock app for remote, so for that tv, i need ir learning (reciever) by puting his original remote controler near phone to learn codes from it. Another example is not for uknown brand, but for other unlisted devices that aren't tv, stb or air cond. (like my tv tuner for pc). Those are just examples, and i was doing ir learning on old lg g2. Today for me isn't that much important to have that feature, but i'm curious to know if xiaomi can work out ir learning with apps anymote or irplus(those two are only ones which actually access ir hardware, and have button for code learning)
